Those who say everyone on earth is beautiful, are patently wrong. I, for instance. I am ugly. Down-to-earth, dust-and-dirt ugly. People spend a lot of mental and emotional energy to force a smile on their faces when they deal with me.  There is absolutely NOTHING ugly about you, inside or out!  There are enough people, in this world, who will give you chit, so you dont need to be one of them.  (know what im sayin?) You are nothing shy of adorable, and im sure im not the only one who thinks so.  If I ever hear you talk about yourself that way again, im putting you on "time out".   You happen to be speaking about someone, we all love very much!   Okay, okay, lover. I will try to stay away from calling myself repulsive. But that sort of change can't happen overnight. I can't do the complete turn-around in one shot, so will it be okay, with your permission, if every new time I call myself ugly, then I'll tie myself to the bed, spank myself, and spank myself hard? and then have my way with myself. Hoo, boy... the sheer thought makes me hott... someone please bring in a huge chunk of ice for me to sit on. you would enjoy that too much,  so thats not gonna work!  How about every new time you call yourself ugly, I send Deano, Vinnie,and Nick, over to beat your azz.  Much better incentive, not to do it anymore, I think!  It really is for your own good honey. No!!! Not Nick; I still owe him five and a half rags. And Deano I ratted on, so he wants to kill me, with a very painful and slow way. You see, I ratted on him to Gustavo (the Hole) Luigiano, his wife and body guard, not to the cops. Otherwise it would be worse. So those guys may be an overkill. So to speak, no pun intended. May I suggest instead that you send ten Marilyn Monroe look-alikes every time I don't call myself ugly, and instruct them, prepaid, to obey my ever order. That's what we call INCENTIVE in this neck of the woods. I am not ugly. |

 She looks... so sexy. If she made love to me, I know I would be in seventh heaven. (within half a dozen seconds, that's for sure.) This next thing is the cutest thing in the entire world, it even beats lover!!! (A.K.A. lovetorockanddrool)  I normally adore cats, but this looks like half gently plucked pre-oven chicken, and half gargoyle with cheap vinyl upholstery, without mustard or anything.  I don't know about everything being beautiful inside. I have seen enough roadkill to know this is not true. Even Princess Di was not her hottest and best in the last few moments of her life, although outside she was a babe, for sure. |

I think everyone is beautiful..... So you can be beautiful on the inside but not on the outside and still be able to take away someone's breath. You can be beautiful on the outside but make a person avoid you with a ten foot pole. And what about the people who are both ugly on the outside, and the inside? Are they beautiful too? What is ugly to you? What is beautiful? |

 If anyone knew me in real life, they would agree that I could go on any Pet-and-owner look-alike contest, and go home with the blue ribbon if this kindly... erm, wtf was my pet. In fact, I told my one and only friend once, "Paul, my favourite artificial sweeterer is "sweet and low"," and Paul replied, totally impromtu, spontaneously and without missing a beat, "plus, Andrew, its name describes you to a tee." |

I wanted to comment on a couple of comments. Personally, I think that the Op was just trying to give some postive advice; and I think her comment on insecure people may have come from the fact that many do not post a picture of themselves. Not sure...just saying.
Andrew...you are fine....really. I have come to look forward to reading your serious, funny, off-the-wall and sometimes just nuts comments. So lighten up on yourself  . Instead of looking in the mirror and seeing something negetive....find just one thing you like about yourself. Maybe you have nice eyebrows or your hair has a nice part . Try and be kind to yourself, you deserve it. We all deserve it . |

I forgot to answer the question
. Why care about how I look?? For me the first and foremost would be hygene & health. Clean and groomed feels good  . I used to think that I didn't care what other people thought; but truth is, I do care. I don't live my life by what other people think about me...but I do think about what they said; and ask myself if it's something that I might want to think about changing...if I can.

Why care about your looks? Because that is what most of the women, in my experience, are interested in. You can be the nicest guy in the world but if you don't look good to them you aren't getting past hi. Chances are you wont get any type of reply at all.

The SIMPLE PLAIN TRUTH to why do WE CARE HOW WE LOOK?
Because THIS WORLD JUDGES EVERYONE OF US,, AS WHAT THEY SEE US AS IN THEIR EYES WHICH FILLS THEIR MINDS! THEY may say I DON'T DO THAT,,,sorry WE ALL HAVE OR WE DO, in or at some time and place,,WE JUDGE THEM ON THEIR LOOKS! BAD OR GOOD SMELLING? CLEAN OR FILTHY IN in their ALL? Clothes to small and tight,,or to big and sloppy... EVERYTHING ABOUT SOMEONE,,is weighed within our minds as we see them once,,or many times more..? NOW,,as to my thoughts,,I know I Better always be who I live each day being,,and thats clean, in seeing me...in my all.. Or,,I would be seen as someone I wasn't IF YOU saw my roll out of bed pic,,,THATS NOT,,my SEE ME FACE,,lol As coffee and a shower is done before THAT face gets seen ANYWHERE....lol and THATS EVERYONE OF US HERE...But,,I'M REAL WITH THIS,,and ME.. As to my judging,,,I have very low expectations in anyone I meet,,because THATS just me and my best friends would FIT low maintenance type people,,and my friends DON'T have to be good looking in any way...nor dress up,,just to be around me.. I LOVE what I call,,,HOME PEOPLE,,,and that will always be my choice over beautiful and fancy all the time... |

Does this hijab make me look pretty? Yes, and the make-up helps a lot, too. To me you look more like Miss Nightingale, just after she washed her hair. Those fluffy, golden locks of hers. Or was it her wavey raven-hair, thick and luscious. Please be my valentine. Lover here wants to constantly get me beaten up because (mwaaaah) I am... ugly. (Waaa...) She even has her hired men on call, 24/7, to catch me when I am really... you know... defenceless. On the local Mr. Universe Stage here in my town. Tightly sandwiched between Mr. Main Street and Mr. Victoria Park Avenue during the swimsuit leg of the competition. |

You can be beautiful on the outside but make a person avoid you with a ten foot pole. And what about the people who are both ugly on the outside, and the inside? Are they beautiful too? ....apparently so, though I would be interested to know just what makes some of these people beautiful robert pickton, albert fish, charles manson, theoneste bagosora, hitler. I have many, many more, but I figure what’s the point, “everyone” is beautiful, right? To each their own. I dont go out of my way to look for negatives. There is to much of that, that goes on. I respect those that have different views than me, welcome the debate. Maybe another view will alter my view, maybe my view will alter theirs. Who knows. Just because I think there is beauty in everything doesn't mean others do. There are horrendous acts by people, unforgiveable acts that have altered lives, the world, scarred millions.But from those horrendous unforgettable unforgiveable events there were acts of mercy, charity, bravery, boldness, an attempt to right a wrong to protect others so that it never happens again, so on and so on. Lessons. first of all, you don’t have to go out of your way to find “negatives”, I just showed them to you. but you failed to answer the basic question of how these people are beautiful. beauty by proxy doesn’t count. six degrees of separation from beauty is not the same as these people being beautiful, it’s denial, it’s bending the truth. also, saying that there is beauty in everything is very different than what was originally said, “everyone is beautiful”. |

Everyone has beauty to offer. As I said, for me it is the way you look at it. A simple smile holds beauty and how contagious is that? Everyone laughs. There is beauty in laughter. Someone holds the door open for someone..how beautiful is that one simple kind act? So yes, even those that are "ugly on the outside and the inside" can be beautiful too. It is all in your perception. If you are looking for just the ugly, you will find it. If you are looking for the beauty you will find it. As others have pointed out, that's just silly wishful thinking that everyone in the world is nice. Someone who is 'ugly inside' won't be doing any of those nice things, and if there's nothing outside nice to look at either, what is left to be appealing about them? Although that could help to explain the female love for 'badboys'. If nobody can be ugly both inside and out, then being a complete idiot and treating your woman badly must therefore make you extremely beautiful visually. It's like a seesaw effect, the lower one side of the scale is the higher the other will be. The more horrible you are the better you look. |

I make an effort to look as good as I can anytime I leave the house. I just feel better when I see women taking a glance at me.
I also judge others by their clothes. But, not by what they wear. I look at the way their clothes fit. It sickens me when a man bends over and shows the world his hairy *** or a woman wears too tight jeans and her fat spills over the top (muffin top). You don't have to spend a lot of money to look good. |

Seriously everyone, just keep a clear and open mind that everyone is different. So who cares what others think of you. Everyone has different perspectives on other people, but that's what makes life interesting. I mean if everyone looked the same or like the same exact thing then the world would just be a total bore. It seems to me as if most of the people here are insecure but there's no need to be because its a big world filled with many people and at least one person out there will love and accept you for who you are. Taking care of yourself is a "responsibility"....it is not about vanity....Besides, beauty is ALWAYS in the eye of the beholder and it is based on the whole package, not just the wrapping....Sooooooooooooooooo... Relax, be yourself, and wear the best makeup you can put on your face....a smile.....
