Out of 2564 vetoes only 110 have ever been overridden in the history of the US. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_presidential_vetoes thats great, sure meant alot to people like Pierce, Buchanan, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, and George W Bush the 'trend' varies greatly depending upon the President and THIS president has had close to nothing but a fight against ANYTHING He has tried to support,,, 111th congress held 56 Democratic seats out of 98 seats giving the majority to the democrats 2 of the remaining 42 were independent. The democrats held a majority of the house for the first time since 1994. How exactly was he opposed at the onset of his presidency?? because 56 is still not two thirds of 100 and those republican seats held out as often and as long and as stubbornly as anyone can and by november of 2010 that slipped to a 51/47 dem to repub ratio with repubs being just as 'anti obama' as ever

This was a fight he would win and should have tried if nothing else to make the republicans out as the party against the constitution. Its a no BRAINER! Fact is they want that power they know the game is about up and they are postitioning themselves for the kill wraping themselves in legality to make it legal to ship off discent for no damn good reasone.

Instead of executive powers it could evolve in a form of dictatorship like martial law.

Stated something about... No matter where you live, foreign or abroad, this country (USA) has the right to arrest and imprison any individual they believe to be a threat to this nation; without cause, without trial, without informing a single individual who knows you. ..or, so that's basically what I got from the whole thing. So, don't chew me out if I'm way off; but I think he might be referring to that bill?

2011 DAA changed the authority, domestically, from civil to military (commanded by the american despot in the white house ( who is directed by the despots in boardrooms who bribe him). We are now a militaristic fascist state at any point it amuses the despots. That time will come when the 99% movement hits its stride, when the poor have no food and no foodstamps,when the pensions and social security gets the final lootings and all crap hits the fan, then of course it will be to late.
