So it's no big deal to have a track on a country's citizens by way of census and if new immigrants come into the UK they are also categorised. Don't make it out like Israel shouldn't be doing this as lots of countries categorise citizens as to ethnicity etc.

They what to know how to classify each and every citizen. There is a reason for this. They are bigots. People are people. There is no reason to record and document their race or their religion. |

There is no reason to record and document their race or their religion. It happens here - so what. Israel as well as other countries have by Law to know these details about their citizens. |

I have never been required to provide my religion or my ethnic background. Okay. Even forms that do ask what my race is, state that the information is not required. Right. In Israel, it is required to be a legal citizen. What is required? To put your religion on forms? Would you care to quote a source? My understanding is that there is more religious freedom in Israel than there is in the USA. In Israel, some people won't rent or sell land to you if you are not Jewish. Hearsay. Regardless, if someone owns land and doesn't want to rent or sell it to some people, we have the right to find it distasteful, but other than that, I don't see your point. Our own Civil Rights laws violates the civil rights of all Americans and hurts those whom it proposes to protect. In the USA, a restaurant can't deny service based on race, but who wants to go into a restaurant where you aren't wanted? It would much prefer a sign that says "No Whites Allowed" than to eat someplace where I'm not wanted and may be treated poorly. |

I'm not worried. I just feel it is non of their business what my "religion" is .... or my race.
So I don't fill it in. I'd like them to try to arrest me for that, or fine me. I might challenge them. |

Great - you do your thing and the UK does the Census and Israel does similar - but what this has to do with Rachel Corrie really stumps me. |

Land was bought and paid over the odds for too. No-one is asking the arabs to leave Israel. However like all citizens, they have to abide by the Law and are therefore protected. You know something - Israelis work and their tax goes to the PA. What do you think of that? The laws are designed as such that people are evicted from their homes. Jews don't want to live next door to Arabs. That is an environment of bigotry. All of Israel smacks of bigotry both racial and religious. Citizens are labeled for their racial and genetic background and for their religion. This information goes on government record. Citizens here are too. We have to complete the Census which categorises every citizen here according to race, religion, ethnicity etc - it's nothing special. Yes, unfortunately there are some arabs who make life difficult for their Jewish neighbours, but on the whole Jews and arabs in Israel get on fine. It is just the minority that cause problems. That statement is not true |

That statement is not true I assume you mean the latter. Well I go to Israel several times a year and I know it is true. |

Can we find a home for 1.6 Billion Catholics And another home for over a Billion Muslims We could accommodate 52 different religions into the USA Each one having its own state Surely you jest! Do you know how many Islamic countries there are?!? Do you know how many countries are majority Catholic?!? There are PLENTY of places with huge sizes where Muslims and Catholics are in the majority or have Islam as the state religion!! But there is only one microscopic country in the world which has a majority which is Jewish and where Jews can truly practice their religion together. Israel. Yet, the Muslims do not even want the Jews to have a few acres in that tiny state despite the vast size of the Islamic countries. |

Yes, Israel is the only country in the Middle East where someone can practice their religion without being persecuted or murdered or forced to convert to Islam, and where it is not a crime to be homosexual/lesbian either. While Christians and Catholics are being persecuted and murdered in predominantly Muslim countries, those religions can practice and live safe in Israel free from persecution. |

To be successful against the Zionist machine we have one weapon in our favour and that is solidarity. Every person following alternative media and who discovers the truth about injustice and the perpetrators of oppression finds it difficult to sit and do nothing.

The problem with this thread is that it is reposted over and over
again in slightly different forms as a method of propaganda demonizing Israelis and also at times the Jews who formed Israel. It is improper to demonize or attack individuals on these threads and it is also improper to repeatedly attack Israel and Jews in these forums in my opinion. That's one reason I post in this topic and many of the nearly identical Israel-bashing threads. I feel it is important to counter the blatant false conspiracy theories which are regurgitated ad nauseum by those who seem to have a pre-occupation with anti-Israel demagoguery. |

It is called Freedom of speech. The opposition is against a political movement called Zionism. They (statements and news) are backed up with references and news sources and books. You can believe anything you choose and nobody expects you to agree with our opinions, but don't try to get in the way of freedom of speech. |

I don't necessarily equate dissemination of propaganda as something to be afforded the protections of the first amendment.. I would certainly have no issue with you stating that it's your opinion, but when you start throwing around its a known fact or there is a consensus.. then I begin to take issue with it. I have little interest in this particular subject, but this reminds me of the 9-11 conspiracy threads that eventually end up being debated the same way.. |
