So she wasn't murdered

She didn't commit suicide

What was it?

Eyewitness reports (CNN and NY Times) have her falling down a
dirt pile into the path of the bulldozer.

Many would say that it is suicidal to be playing around in front
of a bulldozer and putting yourself in a situation where a slip
like that would get you killed.

So - either she was willing to sacrifice herself or it was
an accident due to a serious judgement error or her part but
it was not murder. In either case it is a tragic waste of life
for someone assisting Hamas and Hezbollah who actually purposefully
and without regret target innocent women and children as many
as possible.

This is the real Rachel Corrie story...

Rachel Corrie

The tragic and needless death of pro-Palestinian activist Rachel Corrie is a favorite of those who keep trying to portray Israel as no less brutal than the Palestinians. The story of her "murder" by an Israeli bulldozer driver still persists long after it has been debunked. Like Muhammad al-Durrah, the circumstances of her death were falsified and she became a symbol of the Palestinian "resistance" and Israeli "Nazism."

On March 16, 2003, Israeli bulldozers were clearing away foliage used to hide bombs and tearing down buildings that were covering tunnels used for smuggling arms from Egypt into Gaza. Refusing warnings to clear the area, Corrie, who was demonstrating with other members of the International Solidarity Movement, stood in front of an oncoming bulldozer and was crushed to death. Even though the driver of the bulldozer was exonerated, the Palestinians keep insisting that Corrie was killed intentionally.

They do this by making dubious claims and by making up evidence when they need it. They claim that a photo showing Corrie holding a megaphone "removes any doubt" that her presence was known to the driver. However, the same photo shows how tiny Corrie was in comparison to the size of the bulldozer. It is apparent that the driver could easily not have seen her, and that the sound of her megaphone reaching him through the noise and the distance was highly unlikely.

The Palestinians claim that "eyewitnesses" saw the driver kill Corrie deliberately. Yet a CNN report sheds doubt on these "eyewitnesses":

"She was raising her hands and yelling at the bulldozer driver to stop," [Huwaida] Arraf[, co-founder of the International Solidarity Movement,] said. "The bulldozer driver paid no attention.... He buried Rachel with dirt, which ended up, obviously, knocking her down. Then he ran over her, and then reversed and ran over her again."

Other witnesses, however, reported that Corrie had scaled a pile of dirt but then lost her footing and fell backward behind it, out of sight of the bulldozer operator. The bulldozer continued moving forward, covering Corrie with dirt and then crushing her.(1)

Not letting the truth deter them, the Palestinians have circulated two more photos showing Corrie "before" and "after" the bulldozer accident and trying to make it appear as if the driver could see her. The problem is, the photos are deceptive. In the first photo a trick of perspective gives an inaccurate impression of the line of site between the bulldozer and Corrie. But much more important, the first photo is mislabeled, and does not even show the same bulldozer that was involved in the accident!

The photo's mislabeling is well known and was pointed out by several sources, including the New York Times: the bulldozer in the first photo "was not the one that killed her."(2) Nevertheless, the Palestinians continue to ignore this (and hope you will ignore it too), and still present the photos as if they showed the same bulldozer "before" and "after." Even today one can view this phony presentation on the International Solidarity Movement and Electronic Intifada web sites.

All of the photos mentioned in this piece may be seen elsewhere on this site, as well as further details of the Rachel Corrie hoax.

Truth clearly means nothing to the Palestinian Disinformation Campaign. Eyewitness accounts? Evidence? If you need them, just make them up.

I agree entirely with their Mission Statement.

Our Mission:
CNI works for U.S. Middle East policies that serve the national interest; that represent the highest values of our founders and our citizens; and that work to sustain a nation of honor, decency, security, and prosperity.
Many of the most serious dangers facing Americans today stem from our highly unusual relationship with Israel.

Our uniquely massive support for Israel has cost trillions of dollars and multitudes of lives. It has diminished our moral standing in the world, lessened our domestic freedoms, and exposed us to unnecessary and growing peril.

The majority of Americans – as well as our diplomatic and military experts – oppose this unique relationship.

Yet, special interest lobbiescontinue to foment policies that are disastrous for our nation and tragic for the region.

If we are to have sensible, effective policies that promote safety rather than danger, then it is essential that all Americans become active and informed. Lives depend on it.

Corrie was not murdered, I seriously doubt she committed suicide, but I am mortal so I cannot be 100% certain...She was idealistic and she was duped...She was used in the worst way imaginable...It cost her the ultimate price, her life....Even that was not enough. Now the same anti-Israel propagandists continue to inflame and incite by spreading lies and publicizing "doctored" photographs ......I can only imagine the pain and suffering this propaganda causes her family...And sadly, it will continue for as long as even one anti-Israelie propagandist believes they can cloud the truth enough to change the way people understand this and many other issues....
as usual,Blame the Jews!slaphead

Let's blame the Jews Pat Condell

The Palestinians caused her Death, and now continue to exploit her death!
Sickening Bunch of People!ill ill ill

Yes, I agree the Palestinians caused her death by inciting her
to place herself in harms way. They are big on having other lost
souls martyr themselves uselessly only as Pat Condell says "for
the sake of Arab Jew hatred"

These people hate Israel and have been trying to destroy it only
because it is a Jewish state.

Paul Findley's Council for the National Interest - aka the " Council to Nuke Israel"

On June 28th the CNI held a conference together with CAIR promoting and endorsing Ralph Nader as a presidential candidate.

Findley's virulent hatred for Israel is evident in this video he made together with Bin Laden funded protege' Ahmed Deedat at the Islamic Propagation Center International in South Africa . The ICPI is based in a building named "The Bin Laden Centre" as a gesture of thanks to Osama and his family.

The title of the "Great Symposium" was billed as " Is Israel Set Up For Destruction?"

Israel has been killing Americans for nearly 50 Years

With The Help of some Americans

In 1967 Israel attacked the USS Liberty, killing or injuring over 200 American servicemen. A high ranking independent commission in 2003 found that Israel had committed an act of war against the United States. Yet the US president at the time, Lyndon Johnson, and his secretary of defence, James McNamara, are said to have recalled rescue aircraft and ordered a cover-up.

It is not as if Israel is a close ally. The Israeli regime spies on America incessantly. Its forces have killed and injured numerous Americans with impunity. And Israel has repeatedly stolen US technology and passed it on to other nations, some of them America's enemies.

Really? I doubt that.

The problem with that statement is you haven't sited any surveys to support it.

The other problem is that the statement sounds like canned propaganda from the Zionist's media machine.

My personal experience is that most people I have talked to that weren't evangelical born again Zionist Christians, aren't too trusting of Israel.

Matthew Gould: The Missing Link in “Rogue” UK Foreign Policy?

According to several reports in the British media the Israelis in attendance at the dinner were representatives of the Mossad, Israel’s spy agency, while Fox and Werritty were accompanied by Matthew Gould, Britain’s ambassador to Israel. A former British diplomat has claimed that the topic of discussion that evening was a secret plot to attack Iran.

Okay, if you insist. tongue2

FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES:

JEWS began settling in occupied territory weeks after the Israeli conquest of 1967. The strategy of settlement was born before Israeli independence in 1948, when Jews and Arabs fought for ethnic dominance over all of British-ruled Palestine. By settling the land, Jews sought to set the borders of the future Jewish state, one acre at a time. Post-1967 settlers, though they saw themselves as a vanguard, were really re-enacting the past, reviving an ethnic wrestling match — this time backed by an existing Jewish state.

Now, the attitudes and methods of West Bank settlement are inevitably leaking back across a border that Israel does not even show on its maps.

In 1996, the former Israeli chief rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu and his son Shmuel Eliyahu established a project to place “core groups” of their followers in depressed Jewish towns. The Eliyahus assigned their first core group to Acre.

Their goal was to bolster religious education and build faith-based charities. The elder Eliyahu, now deceased, was a pre-eminent teacher of the pro-settlement religious right. His son recently gained notoriety for issuing a religious ruling forbidding Jews to rent or sell real estate to non-Jews anywhere in Israel.

The group’s rabbi, Nachshon Cohen, was an alumnus of a yeshiva in the Palestinian city of Hebron. The reason to start the religious project in Acre was “the demographic problem,” Rabbi Cohen explained to me.

The mixed city had about 45,000 residents. But Jews were leaving because “people didn’t want to live next to Arabs.” The energy of the new core group, Rabbi Cohen hoped, would keep the town Jewish.

A key part of the settlement project in Acre was the establishment of a hesder yeshiva — a seminary mixing religious study and army service. It, too, would help draw Jews who were both “ideological” and “on a high socio-economic level” into the town, the yeshiva’s director, Boaz Amir, told me. While moving back into Israel and speaking of helping poor Israelis, the settlers were reimporting the message of Jewish-Arab struggle. It was gentrification with a hard ethnonationalist edge.
