No matter how bad you think your problems are if you look around you will find that they are nothing compared to some other people's problems.

Are you grateful for your life or do you complain a lot?

Its really fun to complain sometimes, but take some time to laugh about your problems and put them into perspective.

The roof of my place leaks, but only when it rains real hard. It doesn't rain real hard here very often.

I know people who have no home at all.

I am so lucky.

I used to be very cheerful and optimistic about everything, always see the silver lining, always see the best in people,,etc,,

I was nicknamed bubbles in high school, and my inlaws from my first marriage often referred to me as 'synclair' (from living single)

one long and miserable marriage later, my husbands negativity really rubbed off on me and I found myself much quicker to see what was wrong in everything and everyone , and boy did it start to drain me

now, I am starting to get back to consciously reversing that attitude, I tell myself 'lay them down' (meaning my troubles)
whenever I catch myself going off on some negative rant or thought process,,,

I strive to be grateful and happy, but there are periods when its easier to say than it is to do

Agreed. everyone has their problems but all of us here living in a world with electricity, running water, internet access, etc. could stand to spare a thought for those without these comforts, for those who are starving.

Also, whenever things get to me I try to think about massive rocks zooming around our solar system that will one day hit us, or how our sun will one day burn out, or that the Milky Way will one day collide with Andromeda; suddenly my problems seem insignificant.

Well I take comfort in thinking that may not happen for millions of years.

Awesome pic!

I do too, I just can't help thinking that all our problems, all our disputes and wars are pitifully small compared to the threat of things far beyond the scope of our Tiny Blue Dot.

Honestly those that complain all the time get on my nerves. I very seldom complain about anything. I figure either I fix what has happened or deal with it...

If all they can do is complain then they need to move on.....

I have issues too within my life.I could make a long list of things that get me down and feel as if I'm sinking in life. But...... I choose not too. I deal with it and go about my life. Why cause no matter how bad I think life is someone else has it much worse.....

Someone asked my sister what she had planned for the day and she said, "Wait for what gets thrown at me and deal with it."

I say, I'm waiting to see what drops on me. laugh tongue2

I don't complain,
I love life,
My world is as perfect as I can make it.
If I wan"t to do something and it's possible, I will find a waty to do it.
I find the best in everything, because i don't want to see anything else.
I am rarely dissapointed with life or people as I don't expect a lot, I just enjoy what I have.
If something falls apart I fix it, If someone dissapoints me then I deal with it, it is only my expectations that they have failed to reach, so I just change my expectations and love them just the same.

Life is so much easier if you wake up looking forward and not backwards.

I get that.

Constant fake positive attitudes are annoying.

You have to really feel it.

Have you ever read the book "Think and Grow rich?"

This phony salesman read it and he responded with this:

"I got this all figured out now if I can only learn how to fake sincerity."

I just see problems as catalysts that I haven't learned from yet.Once they've taught me the lesson they are in place to teach me then they are no longer problems amd I've become a wiser idiot laugh

My Masochistic Heaven

One night I dreamed
that I was in
masochistic heaven.
Sade grated me
at the gate
and said welcome
friend we have
been expecting You.
Jack the ripper
was there and so was
Mary with her hatchet.
I said I was ready.
Sade are you really?
As he chuckled
and closed the door.
I kissed his whip
and bared my back.
His whip felt
so beautiful
with each lash I felt.
His arm was so tired
after so many lashes.
But I said
oh but I can take more.
with each new torture
that they teased
me with I said oh
but I can take more.
And finally they turned
their back on me
and rejected me
in each new kind.
They told me I wasn't
welcome there.
So I went to
hell and purged myself
until I could do no more.
Unwelcome in hell
and denied heaven
I sit in purgatory
until the day
I awaken
just to live
a normal life.happy

Whenever I get down; I take time to reflect on those who are homeless, jobless, and completely alone. I especially worry when the the cold weather hits here and some will freeze to death or suffer from frost bite. I hear many whine they are alone for Christmas but really how bad can being alone at Christmas be when you are warm, safe, have a full stomach, and a warm bed to sleep in? My life isn't the way I would like it but I am certainly greatful for what I do have.

I don't feel sorry for people just because they are "alone" for some holiday. I know a guy who complains about being so lonely but truth be told, he is an a-hole most of the time and has driven off most people with fits of anger and tantrums.

There is a website that publishes mug shots. In my study of faces I go there to see all kinds of faces.

Some of them show so much pain in their faces, it makes me sad. It also makes me feel grateful for having a home and family who love me.

Its fun to get pissed off sometimes.

Today I found myself screaming at a fly who was buzzing around my head while I tried to work.

WHY DON'T THEY JUST LEAVE ME ALONE? (Don't they realize that I will smash them flat with my swatter?)

They make me so mad. rant rant

I have to take time out from Mingle to swat a damn fly.rant

They are pests who purposely taunt me.

As Achmed the terrorist would say:

I KEEL YOU!!!

i'd say i complain the average amount... everyone complains every now and then... My life is pretty good... but it could always be better...

But I hate when people say look around at other peoples problems to feel better about my life... Just because someone else's pain may be worse then mine, doesnt mean mine doesnt matter... thats not a fair thing to say...
