Opening doors, bringing flowers, etc for women who now hold themselves "liberated?"
I still do, I am not much into PC. |

The men I see still do that...Maybe it's a Southern thing?

The men I see still do that...Maybe it's a Southern thing? Sometimes I get a gruffy thank you but most are pleasant. |

I don;t think it's dead, well not here.
Maybe in a lot of the younger genreation, But most men still open the door and let you walk through first, and do all the other gentlemanly things. But I guess its mainly country blokes that we deal with. I dont want to be liberated, I like feeling special. |

Women are all suckers for romantic thoughtfulness ..its not just that you did it for us ...its the sweet gesture that shows a very sweet side of thoughtfulness from the man. Its the little things like that , that make a difference for me.

If a guy does that fine; if not its also fine. I like being liberated. Hell; I have held open doors for guys, and given a man flowers. People really get way to hung up on that crap personally. Is it so hard just to do something nice without it being expected? |

Be it on a date, or just someone at a business meeting or whatever. I agree. Good manners and demonstrations of courteousness will tug at my heart strings every time regardless whether the gesture is made by my partner or a complete stranger. Whenever it happens, I always make sure to acknowledge the gesture and I never take it for granted. |

English gentlemen - true English gentlemen - still do that. Or if they don't at least they should!
