Topic: If masturbation is a sin

Masturbation would be lusting after the flesh, thus it would be sinful. It would be lusting for sex.

SEE...this is yet another example of what radical christians are teaching their children! Shoving guilt up their ***'s, filling their heads with garbage.
I don't know the numbers, but it would be a safe bet to say it's high...the number of people with sexual dysfunction as adults because of this ****. Also would be a safe bet to say MOST of the male serial killers, serial rapists...DO have serious sexual issues going back to their mothers uptight and extreme sexual issues.
I had 3 boys. I can assure you that there was nothing evil and sinful about them when they reached down and found their penis's for the first time. Once they found it I could barely get a diaper back on them.
I knew one who smacked her boy when he would touch himself, even scratching. He was about 4 or 5. Use to piss me off, I wanted to smack her. Oh yeah, he won't have issues.

I know huh? And it is only one of many many sick ideals indoctrinated into Christian kids. Beating the kids is another one.

These screwed up kids have a higher chance of being sexual offenders and killers too from this kind of indoctrination.

It should be considered child abuse in my opinion.

amusing that the faithful would call masterbating a sin and then claim that we are all sinners. and of course that leads to commitimg whatever sins in life happily believing that simply asking forgiveness will absolve all their sins. it really is an easy sell to the weak willed ones and no wonder such dogma is so well accepted.

One receives forgiveness when one truly seeks forgiveness. Vein words get you no where. You can't go steal something, then say oh God forgive me... then go steal another thing and then say oh God forgive me and expect to receive forgiveness.

Who says? And don't say the bible because it is just a book written by men so you will have to show better proof.

It is all the proof one needs. There is not many proofs for everything. There may be multiple recordings of the same proof, but there is not always multiple different proofs for the same thing.

And say's God, the one who will judge us of our sins and or forgive us for our mistakes.

Actually, in correction to what I just said. I know of 66 books that give us the knowledge of God.

You heard god say that? Cause the bible is not proof of anything.

So god said it to you only?

It is only not proof, cause you refuse to allow it to be. Evidence and or proof is only as substantial and or as strong as the one wishes for it to be.

Take the court system for instance. No matter how much proof one may present to the judge, the evidence only holds as much power as the judge will allow it to. So doesn't matter how much proof we could or couldn't show you, if you won't accept one, you're bound to not accept another.

Other then that, there are 66 books that were written at different times in different places, by different people who coincide with one another. But again, the proof/evidence will only hold as much power as one wishes to allow it.

Hard to say. Ask your church. Depends on the religion. But my own personal feeling is that God would prefer that you did that versus jumping every woman you saw. If you do it often enough, she may no longer be "new" in your eyes and you may tire of her and get over it. I really don't think God expected you to "suffer" by avoiding it and sometimes it's probably just not that easy for guys to chuck certain things out of their minds, no matter how hard they try.

So people can't remain abstinent? Where's the self control in that? Why suck a hyp on sexual intercourse that it HAS to be done?

In general cowboy, NO, people can't remain abstinent. Humans are sexual beings. That is necessary. If it were not for the sexual desire we are designed with, trust me, men would not have anything to do with women and women would not have anything to do with men, that means there would be no more children born.

The human race would be doomed in one generation.

That's just the way it is.

That is the way it was meant to be.

Oh so you don't go into a relationship for the love, for the companionship, for the partner in life, for the company, for the great loving times? You only go into it for the sex? Interesting...

We are not talking about me. And we are NOT talking about relationships.

There you go again twisting my words. You just want to be sarcastic and argue. You have no desire to learn anything from anyone. You just want to preach your twisted dogma. I would like to know where you got these ideas. Did your parents teach you this stuff or did you make this up all by yourself?

If you are going to just twist my words like that I am through talking to you. You just want to argue. You lie and say you want to discuss but that is not true. You just want to push your weird dogma out there as if you are the Pope or something.

I'm not going to talk to you anymore because you really don't listen. You just preach.

Was a simple question, no need to get upset. Cause you said this statement

In general cowboy, NO, people can't remain abstinent.

So I asked why can't one be abstinent? Why can't one wait? Why does one have to either masturbate or be with someone else? Why can't one wait till they find that special person they marry, then enjoy one another's body? Is that all relationships revolve around these days? Sex? It's not about love, companionship, partnership, friendship, a lover, and more of such? It's about sex? Again, why can't one remain abstinent in their search of their life long partner?

I never said that no one can remain abstinent. Anything is possible.

But to say that masturbation is a sin is just a ploy of the Church to control people with guilt.

I said IN GENERAL most people can't.

What would be the point in the church in general saying that to control anyone? Even if the church wanted to control someone, why would that be one of the things they try to control? The church would gain nothing, nor loose anything if a person does or didn't. What you say doesn't make sense.

Ok, I'll ask again. Why can't most people wait? And how do you know most people can't? You talk to most people about this? Or are you taking this from a personal opinion on the matter at hand*this question doesn't need to be answered, was just a question for thought*

So my question(s) is.
1. How do you know most people can't?
2. Why can't most people if this statement is true.
3. Why can't people just wait to share their body with their married lover? What is such a big deal about it?

Personally, I am both A-sexual and I don't sin.

But then, I'm practically a saint.

Not making it personal in an attacking way. A discussion on beliefs HAS to be personal to an extent, beliefs in general are personal.
