Topic: How old is too old? What's the oldest person you'd date? | |

Basically, its not what you are, its who you are.
Age is immaterial. |

I keep bringing up this idea of statistics as delineators --
Would you exclude someone because of their shoe size? That's a number. Would you exclude someone because you didn't like their social security number? Superstition? Would you exclude someone because you didn't like their license plate number? So many of us erroneously equate age with maturity, even when we've seen counterexamples our entire lives. Everyone is different, everyone is an individual. If I like someone, I like them, regardless of what numerical digits are attached to them. Those digits tell me nothing about the person, other than how many times they have orbited the sun.... |

Bl8ant, very nicely stated. I happen to think that age does matter in most cases - especially in consideration of thoses 20 somethings and younger, but I'll save that for a different day because I truly do think what you wrote was quite beautiful. If everyone thought like you, I would change me mind. Take care, Alexia

That's pretty good Queen D.
Mnhiker - you are not as open-minded as you claim to be as noted in many of your post on this thread. I'll remind you, that in the previous post, you will stated that you dated women that were 5 and/or 10 younger so long as they are at least 21 years old. Since you was pretending that age does not matter, I propose the question whether he would date a woman older such as in her fifties or sixties since you are almost 40. Thus, if you were willing to date someone almost 20 years younger than yourself, why shouldn't you be willing to date someone who is 10 - 20yrs older. This was your response "To think I should date a woman in her 60s is just laughable and absurd beyond words. Maybe if I was older." I guess that your are only opened minded if it suits your desire. |
