Good morning. It rained, again last night. It was hard to tell the thunder from the hunters out hunting in the woods. It might be turkey season. I wouldn't know as I never go hunting. I have tried those thermos coffee containers. They are pretty cool to take on picnics.

It's deer season here for the bow hunters..might have gone to Black Powder by now..those rifles are very loud!

My foot surgery was postponed due to my endocrinologist not getting medical info to the hospital.. I am not a happy camper and called the dr office and let them have it yesterday...Surgery rescheduled for Nov 2, I could have been half way healed by that time.. Have a great day everyone!

Morning Carole I know how that can be a pain. Has happened to my mom. My friend is having a triple bypass as we speak. She has been in the hospital a week. They delayed it yesterday due to an emergency the dr had.

Good morning, Carole. I can understand your ire. And must compliment you on trying to keep a positive view. Some days are just so much better than others. We do miss our local doctor that retired. The one we have now is not local and it is not as convenient as before. The local doctor that retired used to have a clinic in the nursing home and when the nursing home changed from being a hospital many years ago it really made a change in the community. The closest hospitals are now Harrison and Mountain Home which are both about 25 miles from Yellville. Baxter Regional of Mountain Home, the hospital in Mountain Home will probably be taking over the clinic that our local doctor had when it moved out of the nursing home. A lot of us are wondering about the fate of Ahren's clinic. We sure do miss Doctor Bob. Especially, those clients who were Doctor Bob's. Baxter Regency does have an ambulance center that isn't that far from the nursing home. What would really make sense would be if Baxter would just buy out the nursing home. But maybe that is just me wanting to have benefits like the other nursing homes give their employees. But as a local citizen of Yellville it would make sense to have a local hospital back like when my cousin was born at the hospital that is now a nursing home.
