Good luck on the car. Kathy was all excited about moving out today. The day started okay. We went out to breakfast and it was her treat since she got her monthly check. Last night she had two good prospects. The first one was in another town and a real nice place with all utilities included. But the price was high and she couldn't take her cat since it was a no pets allowed place. So we drive back to town to check on another place with all utilities paid and a couple hundred dollars less but she could keep her cat. (Emphasis on her cat.) So she gets excited again. Then she goes to look at the place. Of course, its a dump. So we go to get her car out of the shop. It makes it about a hundred feet and dies. I am in the van behind her and waving traffic around her car. She manages get it to the gas station and it dies again. Of course, you know she has already paid the mechanic. She makes it back to the mechanic. I was surprised her temper hadn't flared up already. It was then that she decided not to check out the other place because her car won't run and she is running out of cash. So then she asks me, "How bad do you won't to get rid of me?" She went back to her little bed from exhaustion and will probably be asleep for a while.

Good morning Mingle friends, haven't been here much lately.. Have to have surgery on my rt foot and going to be laid up 6-8 wks so lots to do to get ready for the surgery and the holidays coming up..
Weather has been cooler, chilly at nights(40's) so fall is almost here.. Hope you all have a great weekend! hugs

I'm at the kids new house spent the night helping them move in and set up. its a really nice place they got allot of extras on it for a good price. I'll put up pic's after we get it all set up

Finally found a recliner chair that I like and matches my sofa..A little more than I wanted to pay but it has a good guarantee and they deliver free..yea!! lol Gas if finally down to $3.25, like xmas in July...

Good morning, may I join in? Looks like it's going to be much cooler day as promised. I love it!Although, it's not like I can complain about the heat really, we have had a pretty mild summer altogether.

I am lucky, Carol. With the the job I got it is like you don't have to be crazy to work here but it helps. All the smart ones leave so where does that leave me? I have discussed this with people who still work here. It is either we are gluttons for punishment; Have to work all the extra hours we can to just make ends meet or There is something definitely wrong with us that we just can't put our fingers on. Just as soon as the Administrator tells us no overtime unless the overtime is approved those that miss usually miss more so it becomes a catch-22. The skeleton crew has to work more time at time and a half because of the overtime because those that miss who would be cheaper for the nursing at regular time just don't show up for various reasons. The place has been running in the red for some time because of low capacity of residents but that changes as more residents are added. We get residents that other nursing homes don't take because they must be more pickier in their choosing because they are operating in the black. The slack is taken up by the latest move of nurses work 8 hour shifts instead of 12 but there are nurses who miss as there are aides that miss. Hence, the nurse called in on her day off and me coming in 4 hours early.

I'm off to see a throat specialist today for something the allergy saw there last week.. will it ever stop... Finally found a recliner chair that will go nicely with my sofa...Yea!!

Both vehicles in the shop. Relying on friends again to get around. Good morning, friends. I am worried about my older sister. Mom said that she was stuck out of gas and moving back to Arkansas. Two of my younger sisters wired her gas money. I know driving down from Wyoming to Arkansas must have been a trip for her. Good morning, friends.

I am having a great second day off. Lady and me have been burning the scrub brush. I called my mom and she said my older sister, Vickey is in Branson, Missouri. She is coming down with some friends and they are bringing a trailer. I told mom I was cleaning the fence line and she said it should make the place look better. I got a little breeze when I was burning. I had fun with Lady trying to drink out of the garden hose and sprayed her down. Have a good nap, Carole.
