Mornin' y'all! We actually had about 30 minutes of soaking rain yesterday; enough to make it less than kick-you-in-the-crotch, spit-on-your-neck blistering hot, so I sat outside on the cool cement steps, chatting about life with my 35 yo daughter until about 2:30 AM. Good times. How is everyone?

They say it may reach 115, today. According to the radio it is supposed to be the hottest day of the year. They are putting out a extreme weather forecast. Mountain Home, Arkansas broke a record as it was 107.3, yesterday and it supposed to be hotter, today. The summer of 1934 there was the last time the weather had been so hot. Good morning, friends. I hope everyone can stay cool and has plenty of cold water to drink.

Good morning Roy. Yesterday morning I arrived home after spending the night with my daughter. And the air was out, went straight to the office they had it fixed in 30 minutes. that was nice because it was a killer just waiting a hour in this heat. And it was only in the morning. Could you imagine no air at 2 in the after noon.

That is one nice thing about where I work is that they have to keep the heat and cold bearable. I hear what you are saying. I feel for those people who have do roofing or work on the highway department in this weather.

My boarder is ready to move out. Her girl friend has a drunk who lives upstairs from her and drives her crazy. Kathy, my boarder wants closer to town and wants out of the boonies. I know this country lifestyle isn't for everybody as you just about have to be pioneer stock to rough it out here. They think they can do better in town, together. I am so proud of Kathy as she has endured a lot. |
