I'm not playing this little game with you. Your statement from days ago was clarified. End of story. Let it go, man. being a feminist and being independent are NOT the same thing grasping, grasping you HATE to be wrong about anything, don't you?!?!?! |

What does disagreeing with you have to do with feminism? I get that this is independent ladies thread, but what specifically does not agreeing with you have to with feminism? You wanted to play, you thought you had me on the ropes. I showed that you were biased against me to the point that you pretended I hadn't explained a statement you didn't understand. Then you decided that "I'm not playing this little game with you." You were fine piling on me when you didn't have any skin in the game, but once your bias was exposed, it was splitsville. Actually, I said I wasn't going to play your little game. And I never said I "had" you. You also didn't answer the question, so I'll ask once more. What does this have to do with feminism? |

Apparently, I have said something controversial. Or rather posted a picture that was controversial. I apologize for that, I assumed those posting were followers of feminism.
Feminism is, of course, the "theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes". This makes me wonder: Why "independent women" would consider themselves to be inferior to men? |

Why so many independent women are single ? is it because they choose to be or are they simply struggling to find love ? |

Why are you assuming we're all feminists? And why are you assuming those who aren't thin they're inferior to men? |

singmesweet said... Why are you assuming we're all feminists? I figured that most women today considered themselves to be the equals of men. singmesweet said... And why are you assuming those who aren't thin they're inferior to men? The bold statement above is the dictionary definition of Feminism. If you believe you are equal to men, then you are a feminist. Ipso facto, if you aren't a Feminist, then you believe you are inferior to men. EDIT: Sorry, I tried to reorganize this post and accidentally removed the definition for Feminism. "Feminism: the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes". |

So, you're saying EVERY woman who doesn't consider herself a feminist feels she's inferior. Two questions for the women here: How many women here consider themselves to be feminists? How many women agree with Spider? |

How many women agree with Spider? What does Feminism mean? "Feminism: the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes". If you aren't a feminist, you don't think you are equal to men. Sorry, but it's a fact. If you think you are equal to men, then you are a feminist, even if you don't want to be. You can't have it both ways: Not be a feminist and still think you are equal to men. |

Feminism is a collection of movements aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights and equal opportunities for women. The words that stand out to me are rights and opportunities. I think we are all equal and one need not proclaim themselves as a feminist to do so. The minute ladies set foot in the workforce; we became equal. So of course non-feminists are equal to men. To say otherwise is probably the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
