Been a bartender so I heard many types of pickup lines.

If I were an enzyme, I'd be DNA helicase so I could unzip your genes.

You're so hot, you denature my proteins.

Can I be the phasor to your electron and take you to an excited state?

You must be gibberelin, because I'm experiencing some stem elongation.

You make my anoxic sediments want to increase their redox potential.

Hey baby, will a little more alcohol catalyze this reaction?

Me and you would undergo a more energetic reaction then Potassium and water.

I'm more attracted to you then F is attracted to an electron.

I will fondle your vesicles while you caress my golgi body.

I want to work on your leucine zipper with my zinc fingers.

If you were oxygen, I would be an alkali metal so i could get in you and explode!

We fit together like the sticky ends of recombinant DNA.

You are the photon to my photosystem: you excite my electron until I reach my reaction centre.

You're hotter than a bunsen burner set to full power.

If I were a neurotransmitter, I would be dopamine so I could activate your reward pathway.

Hey, wanna put your alpha helix in my beta barrel?

More St. Patrick's Day Pickup lines.

I ain't got four leaves, baby, but if you pluck me, I'll give you luck!

Why don't you come catch a leprechaun with me. Maybe together we'll get Lucky!

Tip o' the Trojan to ye!

So you actually kissed the Blarney Stone? Tongue or no tongue?

If you don't sleep with me, the leprechauns have already won!

Lassie, it's your ancestral duty to drive the snake out of my pants!

Well, lass, we're the only ones still standing. How about a go?

You look magically delicious, and I just happen to be a cereal lovemaker.

Well, ye caught me, lass! Now I can grant ye one wish, as long as it involves sex.

That’s one environment where the pickup lines are-o-plenty.

Roses are red, violets are blue, how would you like it if I came home with you?

OK, folks lets here it, when you're out and about and you see someone that catches your eye, what do you say? what is your "pick up" line(s)

Here is one of many I've heard:

"Baby your legs must be tired, cause you've been running through my mind all day."

That one doesn't make sense actually because someone that just caught your eye wouldn't have had the time to run through your mind all day. tongue2

p.s. Hello forum.

Hello, technicalities don’t matter here just have fun.

I'm afraid the former might make the latter impossible. indifferent

If they're not, I say "You can talk to them until the cows come home, but they won't answer you back." noway

I don't like the term "pick up lines." I prefer conversation starters, because that's what you want. To have a conversation with a stranger and get to know one another and see if there are any sparks.

The ones that have been most successful for me do not telegraph any kind interest. Delivery is also important. You have to have the right energy level.

My friend and I disagree. Maybe you can help us settle an argument. If you met a cool guy and exchanged phone numbers with him, would you rather he call you or text you?

I feel this is good starter because everyone has an opinion on it. This conversation can last several minutes and it's usually easy to segue to other subjects.

“Pickup lines”, “Conversation starters”, they are both the same. The meaning might differ slightly but the fundamental ideas are the same. I.e. to talk, chat or flirt with some you’re attracted to.

As far as "sparks" I think it’s obvious sparks are present (no matter how small), else why approach the person in the first place.

Finally "seeing where it goes" has much to do with ones intentions which can range from harmless flirting to something more sinister, to something more long-term it all depends.

To use pick up line is generally a statement of interest. A conversation starter is neutral and gives no indication of interest.

I may be attracted to her, but I cannot know if she's attracted to me until after I start a conversation with her. Sparks are when we both feel attracted to each other.

It's my opinion that all men and women desire to be in a healthy, happy, sexual relationship with someone they find attractive and interesting.
Nothing more sinister than that.
