It was in one of these forums, I think it was "How To Piss Off Your Parents".

1:I could go to an NRA Rally."

2:My parents would love that."

1:NO...."PISS your Parents OFF"!

2:I could hang out with YOU!

1)What would your parents do if they knew that you were hanging out with the likes of "me"?

2)They would probably "Pray".

1) Mine would probably "Chant".

"Everyone Laughs"........

How good are your diplomatic skills?
If it's against your ideaology (but not obviously gross), can you laugh it off?

I can laugh anything off.
And if somehow someone elses hypocrisies
can be pointed out, all the better :-)

Usually, I can laugh just about anything off, but to be honest, I've been very sensitive lately and haven't done well in that department recently.

I got caught up in an argument on the forums when I shouldn't have; it was something I care about very much ... but there are some people who just like to twist everything you say. I should have walked away.

Trying to do better.

Sounds like a type of book i'd write. I surely owe it to my parents, sadly. Lol. That's life. And a bruised childhood. Never mind.

Step on my toes, and I stomp on yours laugh

Nah, I'm not that bad. I'm not good at causing physical pain, but I can cause great mental pain, in the revenge department :)

I think I 'get along' fairly well

I pick my 'battles' as opposed to walking around up in arms over every little thing

I spend alot of time going whoa whoa (on the inside..lol) over the things people say and do

but very little is worth getting myself upset over, so most things I pay little mind to,,,and I try to always treat people with civility and a pleasant smile

I smile almost always, even if I think they are kind of full of it, because IM sure THEY know they are full of it

I dont need to point it out cause they have to be the one to live with themself, not me

I tried not to piss my ma off growing up. I was a pretty good kid <not that I followed the rules>, I just didn't get caught laugh . That's pretty much how I live my life. I'm passionate about "fairness" and will go to the aid of anyone that needs help. If someone lies or is misleading, I most likely will not say anything to them...but I know a little bit more about them and will keep my guard up. Very rarely will I "check" anyone.

I get along fine in my world...

not so great in the world 'out there'...

I do what I do...and what is right for me...and have zero inclination to 'keep the peace'...by not speaking my truth....I learnt a long time ago, to not speak is to lose your voice, quite literally...

and when you talk as much as I do...you don't ever want to lose your voice!

So no, I don't get along with most people much...they don't like my version of the world very much.

You find no peace in losing your voice...? Serious inquiry, just wondering

but when they're real dumb, don't you have WAY MORE fun at their expense without them really knowing it, because it's more fulfilling than a confrontration with an idiot that will never change his mind?

again if they're not (obviously gross)? I do.

I can get along with most pretty well unless they go out of their way to make that not happen for some reason.

I have had on here...I have played some serious hardball on here...tongue in cheek nimble wordsmithing..as you well know.

In face to face?...
Confrontation?...is that what it is called?...

telling some dipsh * te he or she is being a dipsh * te is easy...they may find that confronting...but I don't...and really we aussies don't take too kindly to stuck up arseholes, arrogance or victimhood ridiculousness...we tell it how it is...it's a mark of respect over here...unlike the US where everyone is so PC.

No...most people don't speak up, under the guise of 'keeping the peace'...or as you guys over there say...'being nice'...

We don't over here..and I know when I shut my gob, rather than speak my truth...sure as sh* te I will lose my voice within the week.

Ah... thanks for explaining.
Have you ever heard the expression, "What a Harper hears is for Harpers' ears"?
A little thing that expresses the idea that sometimes, somethings aren't worth getting into... we'll never be able to explain it to peeps who haven't lived it.
So sometimes I just don't speak... a selcective mutism, haha.
Not in order to keep the peace, but rather my own...
