did you ever have someone in the family take something from you ........i just had my gold cross takein so i go to the pawn shop and theres my cross my sisters 18 yr old kid took it...i had to pay 50.00 to get it back so would you call the cops or do you keep it in the family !!!!!!

my ex sis in law stole the money and gifts from my ex mother in law one year at christmas and my ex husband gave her a serious what for, nothing that caused hospitalization but enough to scare her(he went to jail actually)

but SHE never stole from her mom again
and my ex had already accepted the consequence he would face and found it worth it,,,,


I dont advocate for violence, I do think consequences are the best ways to learn a lesson(real consequence)

First how do you know it was him who took it? did he confess? or did the pawn shop say who brought it in? cause its against the law for them to buy stolen Jewelry and they can't charge you 50 dollars to get it back . but anyways i would have a good talk to him and find out the reason he did it first but no need for cops if family unless he steals your car lolll and smashes it all up then you may need the cops but i would see why and how sorry he is for stealing it and why he needed the money and talk to your sister a lot has to do with how a kid is raised too not saying shes not a good parent does he have a dad there too? the kid that stole it ,also make sure he pays you back the 50 darn kids today i tell ya

I'd never ever call the cops on someone in my family - unless someone was being physically harmed.
Clearly this is huge - talk to your niece/nephew calmly and try to find out first why this happened. I bet someone somewhere is in trouble and didn't want to come out with it...

Oh yeah, my cousin stole jewelery and $4000, we did call the police but only because we didnt know who it was, they found out when they went to the hock shop and he had sold most of the stuff their. Hmmm My ex punched him in the face knocked him out, then dropped the charges, and everything is back to normal.. we are still friends, I just dont leave him alone with my stuff anymore, he has a problem with gambling. soooooo. What can you do , he's family.

when you pawn stuff in out here they copy you driver license and the item you sell them so the guy from the pawn shop gave me the bill of sale

The dirty laundry stays in the laundry room for a reason. I have had similar experiences with my own family. I do hope that was a one time thing and they learned from the experience. You might want to dig a little deeper though and maybe see what reasoning went into the thievery. Just to make sure things like Addiction aren't the real problem there cause that will cause only more problems if they aren't caught and fixed early before a life is ruined.
