So, race isn't an issue in the Clear Lake area? Honest. I don't know. I'm just going on what I read not to my knowledge, Pasadena would be more racist than Clear Lake, as far as i know... Clear Lake is mostly scientists from NASA, and the people that work there... Pearland is a rich, white peoples neighborhood that might be prejudice, because of the stigmata the rich white people have...(mostly republican too) |

Well, besides East Texas in general, I read some things about Vidor and Beaumont texas, which are in Ron Pauls's district. They seem to have effective segregation, there

Well, besides East Texas in general, I read some things about Vidor and Beaumont texas, which are in Ron Pauls's district. They seem to have effective segregation, there could be, Beaumont is a smaller town, i don't know very much about it... some of the smaller towns in Texas are still prejudice, like yellowrose was saying... most of their income comes from travelers going to lake charles, to gamble, since it is illegal here...even i get nervous going though the smaller towns, you never know what to expect from the police or sheriffs in them |

I expect to run into a Sheriff Buford T. Justice type lol |

i wouldn't argue that, it is mostly true...thats where most of the hicks live, in the little towns... not just east texas, either ... i would say most everything from 35 east... west texas is not so bad, but mostly deserts and mountains... |

I think you will find a higher rate of prejudice or out right racism in small towns, and also meth! Particularly small towns far away from metro areas. |

Particularly small towns far away from metro areas. exactly, from what i have noticed from my observations... even when i lived in royse city, about 45 miles east of dallas, they still had sharecropping going on there, a modern day version of slavery... |

As long as people keep harping about it I think it will only get worse. |

I think you will find a higher rate of prejudice or out right racism in small towns, and also meth! Particularly small towns far away from metro areas. That reminds me. The biggest drug seizure in Wisconsin was in Tripoli, WI. Town of 500 20 miles northwest of Tomahawk, WI. A booming metropolis of 4,000. They found enough ether there that if it caught fire, the explosion would have damaged homes in Tomahawk. Tripoli itself would have been gone. |
