Topic: No shows....WTF | |

Because at the really big "guy" meeting that we all have before one us goes out on a date, we told him that he shouldn't go because he had the reputation to keep. I mean...if he would have shown up, then us guys wouldn't be known as no-shows would we. that is just so dysfunctional the biggest threat to ur relations is a guy's friends - hey it's my motto and I aina dummie |

I think it just comes down to the fact that most peopleoids think they know what they want...but don't.

I have never been stood up on a no show level, but i have had a couple where they backed out ahead of time, and then never bother to reschedule after...cold feet maybe or just not that interested anyways. |

Why do guys do this? They pursue then make a date email back and forth to set a day, time and place....then they don't show-up....WTF Is it just me or are others perplexed by this phenomenon? |

funny
but till now I haven't dated since college cuz I was married for so long and back then a guy would never do that cuz heck he's gotta sit in English class with you on Monday something to be said for IRL unless u find someone on here who treats internet dating with the same manners as IRL |

It's happened to me in the past.
It wasn't the first time I was meeting the guy though. His excuse was that he went out of town and didn't want to tell me so he thought not showing up was somehow better. Bullsh!t. I ended it there without caring what the "true" reason was. Actions speak louder than words. |

ill note this as well.. it happens in person too ones you know.. say oh ill call ya tomorrow.. or lets go out again in a couple of days... a month passes then they say sorry.. wanna go out for dinner tonight? humm ugh no... why would i? i have better things to do than to set my time aside for someone like you who only wastes it! i think it is this... they do it to see how much disrespect they can put on you...cause that is all they are about anyway.. looking to treat a woman like s***. most definitely not my type of man nor should it be yours... NEXT?

Male or female, I think a lot of it comes down to the type of person you're interested in ;)
I would guess that's the case anyway. Only had it happen (recently) with a 21 year old college girl ... maybe she had a different mindset to a lot of older women. But that's only a couple of years younger then me, so .... =/ |

I can tell u where he was - up someone else's skirt most likely anyway - cut ur losses - while the BIG MAN MEETING is going on - I have a meeting scheduled here: maybe he can bring a friend |

No shows....WTF
Why do guys do this? I cannot even imagine this scenario. It would seem to me, that you need to build up a little more 'want' in your dates. So they would rather lose a testicle, than a date with you. I had altogether two dates in my life. I could not afford any more. "...and gave each of his sons two Talents." |

That's quite a bit of work when all you have to do is say you just became intimately acquainted with your "inner" self.

All valid excuses... But don't worry I won't hold it against ALL MEN nice. so where do you work Why do you want to know where I work? Gonna send me flowers to cheer me up? flowers? ah yeah, that's the ticket, flowers (has nothing to do with a fantasy someone posted on another thread) I don't think I will ever be able to live that one down....I really must be more careful what I post....especially late at night when I may have had one too many... |

As a guy who has been stood up a LOT, I can say that this sucks. Kick him in the shin if you see him again.
|

I've been stood up by two people. One tried to justify it, saying that he ended up having something else to do and that it was just easier not to call.
|

I havent been stood up, and I definately would never ever stand anyone up, so he cannot be very nice if he is not still in hospital or dead

Now SEE,,,THIS is why I ALWAYS talk to someone I am going to meet,,ON THE CELL before we meet,,THEN,,wink,IF they don't show,,or call,,I'LL BE CALLING THEM,,,,,,,
