I think it just comes down to the fact that most peopleoids think they know what they want...but don't.

That's one of the main reasons and it goes for both genders.

The other is, most of the people trying to get a date from online are nowhere near close to what they make themselves to be known online.
The number of cowards outnumber the honest ones.

well Atlantis that's the value of the forum - most of us have thousands of posts - us "Lifers"laugh

but u should be able to tell a lot about someone even from 10 -50 posts - for example if all 10-50 posts are in the politics forums - RUN- not walk- to the nearest exit (for me anyway) but I think u can get what Ima sayin'

and I agree - just randomly dating from the search option and a few emails hasn't worked for me either

Also Mr A. - consider - the web is one dimensional, talk on the phone and there's another dimension - it is going to be impossible to really know what someone is like till u meet - no matter how much posting is done

Don't forget, you can also draw conclusions about how much one spends on the net. Compare it to what he writes and the frequency of how many times you find the person on the net and where. Most people are attention wh_r_es especially single people and that's natural, but some people only write for the sake of attention, while others draw attention automatically from his (or her) writing, even if it's a few posts. Quality over quantity.

Well hopefully you didn't spend too much time emailing and ph. calls on this guy. You found out what a loser he was and didn't even have to kiss him first.

ya if that's important to you. it's not to me cuz I figure most of us are here devoting time to trying to find someone. I 'd be more skeptical about someone who spent very little time here and had expectations that there'd be results....altho' I'm sure it's prolly happened - usually it take a lot of time if one wants quality

so I don't see beaucoup time online as a negative - I am on here a lot when I can be and not so much when I'm busy at work....prolly a lot of people are like that

but I am very slow to draw conclusions as I have been on the receiving end of many false assumptions and I HATE that

just the facts pleaselaugh
