Unfortunately, when being stood up, calling them doesn't do much good.

I was stood up on my first date, very first date, in my life, when I was I think 15 or 16. I never again got stood up, coz the next date came when I was already in Canada, and girls in Canada are straightforward, honest, upright, throbbing, ... etc.

But. I stood one girl up in Canada. I liked the girl, she liked me, both directions mildly, it was a first date, and I forgot. I completely forgot. I remembered two hours late. I felt really bad. I rattled around the apartment, what to do, schemed up all kinds of lies. Finally I called her and told her the truth. She was not angry, but refused another date with me. She said, you had your chance, let's forget the future, and let's continue living in and for the past.

We belonged to a big social club, so we would be in close quarters often, at parties in homes. But we never once showed hurt or bad tastes int he mouth. She, I admit, frothed at the mouth, a few times after the event, but a little bit of lime juice with calmopirin, saying the Craddler's Maid chant, and gently pressing on her eyeballs, inward and up, always made her stop. You must make sure she closes her eyelids first, though.

Two questions: One, if this is a guy, why are his breasts larger than those of most girls' I was with, and two, if that's okay these days, then why are his breasts so hairy?

That sort of thing I take care of before the first date. I demand a chromosome analysis. If it's XY, he/she is out the door so fast she woulnd't know who hit on her.

But I'll take your advice for sure if we can't get the lab results faxed over to the restaurant.

That's one of the main reasons and it goes for both genders.

The other is, most of the people trying to get a date from online are nowhere near close to what they make themselves to be known online.

well Atlantis that's the value of the forum - most of us have thousands of posts - us "Lifers"

but u should be able to tell a lot about someone even from 10 -50 posts - for example if all 10-50 posts are in the politics forums - RUN- not walk- to the nearest exit (for me anyway) but I think u can get what Ima sayin'

and I agree - just randomly dating from the search option and a few emails hasn't worked for me either

Also Mr A. - consider - the web is one dimensional, talk on the phone and there's another dimension - it is going to be impossible to really know what someone is like till u meet - no matter how much posting is done
