I'll be honest. To me it doesn't matter though I do like intelligent women over ditsy ones.

I would have to see your good point there. We dont need more dumb girls walking around.

I think those intimidated men are far and in between. Its a common reflex to assume FEAR when people have preferences, but I think most the time its just a simple PREFERENCE.

Many men just dont want a brainiac woman or one who seems married or over involved(for their tastes) in career or education.

hmmm...I wonder.....

...with a strong personality, and a very clear, concise manner in which I articulate my thoughts...I suspect it has nothing to do with erudition, or intellect, as to why SOME men are intimidated or agitated by me....quite frankly, SOME men find my manner over-bearing, and annoying. laugh

You sound like a Texas Woman.

Smart women are great when they don't try to assume they are smarter than me. I hate doing all the thinking.

Smart women who come off dominating and bitchy? PUHLEAZE! Waste of my time.

I have had women bosses who were competent leaders. I have had women bosses who could not think their way past a box of tampons every 28 days. I have had male bosses who could not think past a box of tampons every 28 days either.

Me? I can be an arrogant, opinionated shittehead at times BUT I know what team play is and I share responsibility so in my relationships there is no Master and Servant. The only thing I ask for is don't try to put me in "My Place." That is where women screw up badly with me. I am kind of a cross between a wolf and a dragon in attitude. When pissed off I can breath fire and bite (metaphorically) and I am not afraid to call a relationship quits once and for all if certain lines are crossed. I would rather be alone and complacent rather than involved and miserable. I could date a female version of Einstein happily knowing my potential kids with her would be smarter than both of us BUT BUT BUT A woman does not have to be book learned to be smart.

The thing is Bullshitte goes both ways, some men want an easy life on the backs of others. Some of us struggle for every dime we get. And women weigh us men by some pretty fuqued up yard sticks. Sorry if the yardstick I hold women to is just as fuqued up. Don't play like a dragon if you really are not one cause some of us take that as an insult to our intelligence.

RAWR!!!

Hold the phone, cats and kittens....Whitey's got this one all figured out for you. First of all, let's set it right and realize....that there's a big difference between education-knowledge and wisdom-experience.

Most men probably look at a well educated woman much like they look at a drop dead gorgeous woman....thinking, "she's out of my league".
I think that's the case here, but the simple fact is, you can have years and years of education and still be an idiot.

But I do think that men see a woman with credentials as some sort of mountain....that they can't chop down.....with the edge of their hand.

And after years of dating everything from a Budweiser model to an illegal alien....I came to the realization that we are all essentially made up of the same biological materials, just in different amounts.

What the heck did I just say?

i don't really believe the "outa my league" stuff. just because she is hot, sexy, smart, rich means little to nothing. she will let you know if your acceptable to her, all we have to do is try.

Ey... I don't like being told "I don't want you" by a good-looking, rich, erudite woman with manicure.

It's bad enough when 93-year-olds tell me that, or five-hundred-pound women.

For a year I only kept asking women who had no hair on their heads, thinking I might get somewhere (I have lots of hair) and all bald women turned me down flat.

I think that in the upcoming year I will only ask out stutterers or those whose left eyes are coloured differently from their right. See what happens, eh?

not to be sounding harsh, but do you think it could be that attitude?
make a woman laugh, be her friend, and have confidence in yourself is really all you need with most women.if looks is all a woman wants, then good luck to her, she will probably get what she deserves...

no chance, I prefer someone who I can have a somewhat intelligent conversation with thank ya very much. I'd rather steer clear of the ones who dropped out of school with no reason and ended up with nothing to talk about.

Yes over-educated idiots are everywhere and I am happy to see that this phenomenon seems more like myth!

Mo...you are so correct! Women should decide who is/not acceptable based on much more than level of education! I personally love men with some mad carpentry skills or a big tractor love

Veldt...just because some lacks education does not mean they can not carry on an intelligent convo! Men that build things, equipment operators, farmers, and ranchers, etc. have always been more fascinating to me than than PhDs that can't talk about anything non-related to science.

35...I'm working on the getting rich part darlin'...just hang in there laugh bigsmile JK

Aye, fireflysgirl, I'll admit things arent as black and white as that, I suppose what I mean is, degrees and such don't bother me as long as I'm able to have a deep and enriching conversation with my partner, whether they be a rocket scientist or a farmer these things don't matter as long as they have something in their head

The smarter the better. I would rather want to listen to a lady then have to put up with listening to her ramble off a bunch of retarded ideas that hold no substantial thought at all. I've found. The smarter and more responsible a woman is the better she is in bed.
