I have noticed that the regresive right is getting more desperate with each passing day. They claim they are for freedom yet let the "patriot act" go on and on. Thanks Joe Liberman keep up your patriotic work. They still believe the small percent of homeloans lent to people who realy couldnt make the payments led to the houseing crisis. THey claim they are for freedom of religion yet rage against Muslims. Some of them on this board collect government benefits yet rage against them for others. They denounce trade unions as if they actualy have any political clout anymore ya know the power of big labor, it simply does not exist. Every day the american life style on average gets worse and worse yet they keep comeing up with the same old cure, tax the rich less and cut back on social programs for the poor. I wish they could break their social programing and join the rest of us in reality before its to late to save this country.

Noticing something and hallucinating something are not the same thing.

You only know what you think. You cannot speak for others.

One of the things that makes it frustrating to debate with the conservatives here is that I don't remember them once answering my questions. Argument>rebuttal>counter-rebuttal is not a very productive process. I've seen enough Perry Masons to know that in a law court, testimony is not even allowed without the opposing lawyer having an opportunity to cross-examine the testimony in order to challenge its value. I have made every attempt to answer all your questions honestly and candidly. When I ask a question, what we get is . . . well, we've all seen what we get. That's free speech, I suppose, but it doesn't shed much light on the subject.

Don't you think that you are obliged to answer the questions of the person with whom you are debating?

ROFLMAO

They can't answer. That's why!

I am a Constitutionalist.
I answered his question.
What's the problem?

Is it possible that they feel the question asked is not worth the debate?

Like I said, that's free speech, and you are absolutely not required to respond. But, why should anybody consider an argument with any degree of seriousness if the arguer is nor willing to stand up to
"cross-examination"?

maybe they aren't here to be cross examined..I personally loathe that mind set of constant debate

Well that's fine. Is this the wrong website for people who want to debate? Is it the wrong website for people who expect verification of assertions? What was your purpose for coming to read this thread? Personally, I don't care about opinions from people who are unable or unwilling to support their arguments.

Personally,
I find your post intelligent, factual, and refreshing.

Of course I have an open mind and don't rely on right wing blogg-sites to get my information. I find them despicable in their misleading propaganda.

As opposed to left wing blog sites?

Personally I rely on actual fact based sites and not upon blog's, slanted news organizatons or web sites that exist to simply 'fog' the reality.

If my arguement (or yours) can't support itself what use is it for me to site a source...

If you do not or will not go and verify those facts... Most on here simply 'bash' the source.

I don't believe you. I haven't seen any indication that you rely on any sites at all.
I think you may be just making it up as you go along.

Perhaps instead of making such an outrageous statement you should actually attempt to follow my reasoning and check where the facts should be...

You will find them.

So it's not your job to verify your statement with facts but you complain that others don't. Very interesting.
