Oh and from just having read your profile, I bet you're ecstatic about Egypts uprising.

You also got it going on for a dude your age.
Ecstatic? Not exactly. I think it's a dangerous time. It could go really, really badly, or it could end up really, really well. I'm hopeful. (This is just my opinion with no sources. See how unimpressing that is?)

Also, thanks for the compliment, (I think]. Your photo is quite attractive. I'll check out your profile.

I AM impressed. See? You don't need links to support your thoughts. Regarding Egypt, the protestors have clearly stated that they "hate America". What we will have is another extreme Islamic country wanting to do away with Israel. Mubarak kept that peace treaty intact in '79, I'm very worried for Egypt. That peace treaty is nothing more than a rumor in coming months.

There's not much to see on my profile. But yes that was a compliment. And you're welcome and thank you also.

I predict Egypt will get themselves an American hating ruler to replace Mubarak.

IMO, you have already dismissed Ms GG2 by using the demeaning term "Missy"

No need to respond.

Your not responding to the last time I brought it up was answer enough.

Aww bless yer cottons for the defense. But I can handle a liberal with both hands tied behind my back. ;)

But you tell me, as I stated, experts' "evidence" is merely a story with their opinion thrown in.
That's a really good point. There's much talk these days about how our educational system does not teach critical thinking. Separating the facts from the spin. I think it's something to be concerned about. I expect that the content that I get from my liberal sources is going to include a certain amount of spin. That's why I don't ordinarily use them as source authorities. I prefer to verify the facts that underlie the opinions they express and see if my opinion aligns with their's.

With the help of such resources as mediamatters.org and snope's.com, I have many time attempted to go through the same process with Conservative sources like Limbaugh and Hannity (I don't consider Beck worth paying any attention to). It's difficult to find a fact.

BTW, there is a great old movie called "A Face in the Crowd' that I think goes a long way to explain Glen Beck.

Here's sending you a nice snuggle.

I don't see that many questions coming from you. I see statements and your opinions.

You are new to this forum and since it already has its quota of leftists that post the same stuff you do, I find it pointless to continually debate the progressive agenda ad nauseam.

Beck IMO is nothing more than an investigative journalist. Truth be known I don't watch Fox news. Hannity is annoying. But I do listen to Limbaugh and if you really pay attention he's only stating his opinion as well. I would never want him in the White House, I'm not a Tea Party person, and I watch Anderson Cooper for my info. I form my opinion from there. I also dig Eric Clapton.

Being "new" has nothing to do with it. I'm just trying to talk to a liberal without having links thrown at me.
But yes you are right, current events does warrant some convo. Not just opinions on opinions.

There are so few facts out there that it's hard to have a firm opinion. There are so many potential outcomes, and I don't know a lot about Egypt beyond what I learned from Cleopatra and Ben Hur.
1) I think Sool-ee-mawn may be a Mubarak puppet and just a continuation of the present conditions.
2) The Muslim Brotherhood would probably usher in a theocracy, but I don't think that Egypt's young people would put up with that. Beyond that, the Muslim Brotherhood doesn't seem to have a violent history beyond its inception in the 30s, much like the establishment of the Jewish state.
3) the Government could come under the auspices of the Army, which may have some sympatico with the protesters (I'm skeptical of this). No telling what this could portend.
4) Israel is almost certainly in an iffy position. I don't worry too much about their long-term viability, with the massive military foreign aid they get from America. However, they could be in for some really rough times. Besides, Israel is nuclear. I don't think Egypt is, is it?

So, I don't think my opinions about Egypt are worth much, given my shallow understanding about the facts.

Once again, how many times have I asked, "When did this happen? Did it get into the news"? I don't need to ask what your opinions are. You have already made that clear. Like I said, opinions without supporting evidence are not very interesting to me. I wouldn't be likely to ask for more such opinions.

EPLefitsts believe the only real news is what is spewed from the Leftist propaganda machine.

When debateing in the forums rule number one is, dont confuse them with facts, keep in mind your probably argueing with someone who collects a government benefit and is wailing against government benefits. If you use facts their next step is to deny the fact and its not fair to use facts to back your argument from a liberal left winge media site. The only approved news source by the way is fox news. Keep in mind that most of the republicans here are not rich just like us and they are like chickens voteing for colonol sanders. Try not to take them seriously and have fun with it.

Posting links as "factual evidence" is nothing more than trying to sway a person. I wanna hear what YOU THINK. You say you're very liberal, I wanna know why. I don't need a link to open. I don't open them anyways. Speak to me.

Or maybe a lil snuggle in your rv while we agree to disagree.devil

what would you like to 'disagree' on.

I can be quite disagreably agreabledevil

OP the Muslim Brotherhood has ties with Al-Quaeda. Of course they're prone to violence.

Times like this I wish I had a laptop.

So what exactly is it that you're seeking in this thread OP? You aren't much in the Egypt loop, what else are you seeking? I'm open for anything. Tho I wonder, if you're retired and cruising in your rv, this is the LAAST place I would be. Haha! Come pick me up and we can debate while we're cruising. I could use some R'n'R!

No, I took a little break to respond to an email from a friend that was waiting for me. Don't you have confidence that your appeal is enough to keep me from wandering for long?

OP the Muslim Brotherhood has ties with Al-Quaeda. Of course they're prone to violence.
What I read was that the Muslim Brotherhhood was violent in the beginning back in the 30s. Osama Bin Laden spent some time with them as he was gaining prominence, but now denounces them because they are not into violence.

you are funny, dude.. I'll give you that..

The leftist view of politics..

Socioeconomic status is the only thing that should be considered when determining what is right and wrong or what I am entitled to.
