Topic: Why Americans still don't have a Job. | |

No one else has said it so I will.
More dredging in the mud. Article posted is from March of 2010... Kinda out of date ain't it. Has very little to do with the political 'terrain' as it exists today. |

Hell Obama is too bipartisan. He is so damn worried about cooperation and such that he allowed the Repubs to f u c k up his health care ideal so the American people got screwed. Obama too partisan, not even I am very confused by this! Do you mean bipartisan within his own party? "Bluedogs vs liberals". Cause if that was your point yes he was bipartisan and made consessions to his fellow democrats that lean right. But if you check the record he had nearly zero support among the republicans! It may go down as one of the most partisan bills in history considering he could not even send it back through the senate for radification instead he did the infamous "deem and pass" Do you recall? The original version of his healthcare takeover was not even passable among his own democrats. The changes where made to gather more democrat votes, not republican! Being bipartisan means reaching across the aisle which is what the dems did with the Congresscare. If they hadn't we would have had a public option and a hell of lot better healthcare bill like Obama wanted. Instead we get this bipartisan half aased bill that doesn't do all that it should have. Okay i see your point now, but i can point out your flaw. The changes gave Obamacare no conservative support! So if you sit at a table to reach a compromise and do not reach one that's not bipartisan. The consessions you speak of only got him enough support to slam through with a majority! Far from bipartisan! Keep in mind conservatives want no public healthcare at all! Not any version what so ever! So a compromise was not met and he never got support for the bill from the right! The changes where made only for his democrats....granted they where issues brought to the floor by conservatives and picked up by dems with conservative districts but not bipartisan at all! |

It was too damn bipartisan in my opinion and there will never be a completely agreed upon bill ever so there will always be opposition.
It should have been slammed through leaving the Repubs pissed and sitting on their thumbs spinning. It would have been a better bill and the American people would have what they should have. |

It was slammed through.
and the changes that were made had not a thing to do with the Republicans... They were made to get reluctant Democratic Politicians on board the slam. |

Not true.
I was paying attention to what was going on. That is rhetoric that is said now. |

there are plenty of jobs in the US..just ask any low-paid, undocumented alien who is busting his butt 10 to 12 hours a day.... if only there were enough for each unemployed,,, jobs are had by those who are motivated and seek them, and work hard to obtain skills and knowledge to obtain them through hard work, dedication and sacrifice... for those that feel they "deserve" a job purely for the fact that they exist or because they are a citizen - get what they deserve - nada! *sigh* since when is it a "right" to have a job, or that the government should provide one for you?... $.02 for 1, they make more off the taxes they get from working people the people are happy, they spend more, more money for the government the one thing i liked about obama is college funding bills, where just about anyone can get financed for college... someone posted on here once you "you can give a man a fish, and he is set for one meal.. teach him how to fish, and that will last a lifetime"... every failed nation had something in common... to many people, not enough work... |

Obama too partisan, not even I agree with you Dragoness. I don't understand why he is trying so hard at bipartisanship when the Repubs only effort is rejection and impede. Even when he proposes legislation based on an identical Republican bill, like HC and Romney's similar bill. The Republicans are going to vote no just because they can, so why try. |

It was slammed through. and the changes that were made had not a thing to do with the Republicans... They were made to get reluctant Democratic Politicians on board the slam. It was slammed through because the Republicans filibustered. A simple majority wasn't enough. They've done this on every bill the Dems proposed. Their only concern was delay and impede. They are more concerned with trying to make Obama appear ineffective than helping the American economy recover or create jobs. They do not care about the peoples wishes. Everything they do or propose is against the peoples wishes and needs. |

I'm not aware of any reputable survey that shows a majority (simple or otherwise) in favor of it. |

Okay just cause a select two rino's push bills in state districts or even at federal level how is it a republican idea? I can tell you how "it's not"! Trust me republicans are against naionalized healthcare not just on the idealogical front they also fear getting fired! People like me made it clear vote for it and your fired period! Many conservitives have drawn a line in the sand and said no more freeloaders! Pay your own damn bills! No new taxes! The tea party movement has not just been about bad democrats but purging the republican party of non-conservatives! No more money! We are tired of the lazy, the whiners, the wimps, the cry babies, the drug addicts, the criminals, the illegals, get a job damn it! stop asking me to buy your kids shoes, pay your doctor bills, put food on your table! I'm sick of it! get off your arse and pay your own doctor bills and if you don't have enough, set down the crack pipe and get a second job! Maybe go to school and get a degree! Just stop whining and forcing me to take food off my table for you can watch Oprah okay? I don't mean anyone in paticular cause i don't know your situation but i do know that show me someone suffering in america and it's alomost always due to self affliction! I know, I know there is always that one in a million that is real hard luck story.....but this is the exception not the rule! If your healthcare sucks it's probably because you made some poor decisions 99% of the time! Didn't go to college, had kids before you could afford them, not sure why you blew it but in most case you did! It's you! Your fault! not my fault and i shouldn't have to pay your bills cause your lazy! |

Now how in the FUQUE can a Republican Filibuster help passage of something Americans in general did now want? The only people who wanted it are 'Have Nots' (poor people) who want a free hand out on the backs of the 'haves!' That does not make any sense! Filibuster are to prevent the passage of crap like Obamacare, the greatest TAR BABY dumped in America's lap ever! And if you take tar baby to mean a slam on Obama you are just a looser who is making this out to be a racist issue instead of the sticky mess we are all going to get caught in!
This topic DRIPS of total love for partisanship. I can definitely see how ignorant some "educated" people really are! It shows with their staunch ignorance and slanting of facts going on here in favor of Obamacare! Has Obama done anything substantial to bring manufacturing back to America? NO! His whole flagship of his term is this disastrous health care plan of his! And when I bring up Germany's model suddenly they are the same thing as England, Canada, and France when out of the WHOLE EU, THE WHOLE FUQUING EUROPEAN UNION!, Germany is the only solvent nation among them all. One more time, Germany took the profit away from insurance and health care and made transparency mandatory! They have to operate under "NOT FOR PROFIT GUIDELINES" that are under the strictest regulation Germany has. They also have personal accountability going on! LOOK IT UP INSTEAD OF POO POOING SOMETHING YOU HAVE NO INFORMATION ON! God people can be so God damn dense! |

I think many would rather have shelter with debt
than be on the streets owing noone quality of life has alot to do with why people support the bill, and the opinion that quality is more significant than finance I bet there are plenty of financially solvent nations which are crappy places to live, because they are taking care of only their elite and investing crap all in their people, just as there are alot of MESSED UP rich people in the world |

Unless you know Germans and likewise been there how can you say this? Granted I never been to Germany myself but I know enough of them to get a pretty clear picture of the situation. When Germany reunified when the Berlin Wall fell they had to absorb all of the problems Communism left behind in the wake of E Germany's new found freedom. Germany planned for that for a long time and took into account the worst case scenarios. Korea is facing the same thing with reunification. Germany is far from an Elitist shiithole. So Is Switzerland. Even Sweden which still is a monarchy is looking towards Germany's model. Stop comparing functional nations to our dysfunction. What makes them elitist to you is that they are iron fisted about illegal immigration! We need to stop turning a blind eye in the name of humanitarianism and stop coddling poor people. Welfare should be about helping those in need, not feeding those perpetually in need! Why are they perpetually in need? Well out of all the numbers thrown around I would say at best 10% are people who life really did deal a very bad hand too. Loosing all four limbs is super bad. that is a person who really needs all the help they can get. The rest to me at least are nothing but Lampreys! They welfare system would work better if people had to pay back even part of what they are taking from the system instead of perpetually handing out money top people who do nothing for the system or this nation! BTW, since when was the government supposed to take care of people's retirements? That is an individual responsibility, not a national one! Wake up and smell the coffee! |

Did you forget Social Security? Do you know what Social Security is? A bribe for naive voters who know nothing about economics. I wonder if you even know what SS is. Look up "Helvering v. Davis, 1937" and "Flemming v. Nestor, 1960". These SCOTUS decisions demonstrated that 1) there is no SS "trust fund" and 2) there is no "right" or "guarantee" of benefits. The whole system was economically unsound from the beginning. |
