1) The human body is more dense than water, thus no human can walk on water.

2) Water cannot be magically turned into wine.

3) Once you're dead, you don't come back to life.

Feel free to add more!

1) Mind over matter - phrase had to come from somewhere. Levitation comes to my mind.

3) The body may be dead, but what of the spirit/soul?

2) Who truly knows the possibilities of one with the pureness of spirit and faith.

I've always found Science to be the ultimate tribute to God. The creator of the universe and the rules that define it's function, why God is the first Scientist.

It only stands to reason that the being that created the universe and the rules it follows, would be exempt from the rules in the first place. Why would god put into place rules that he too had to follow?

Anyway I love science, the study of God's great creation, what could be finer?

There seems to be a lot we don't know at the time we say it.

Oh yeah, because human invention of planes sure is some solid proof that the bible isn't a myth.

And isn't the definition of a myth "believing without seeing"?

1.) You're not talkin' about just any human. You're talkin' about the Lord.. I, for instance, couldn't walk on water, but He could and did.

2.) Water can't magically be turned into wine.. Again, I couldn't turn it into wine.. But it was done.

3.) Once you're dead you can't come back to life.. Sooo, in your opinion wha happens to your spirit/soul? Reincarnation? That "logic" wouldn't be any different than any one else's beliefs.. Either way you look at it, somethin' happens to you when you die.. You can't just lie there and simmer.. Somethin' has to happen to your spirit and your soul and if you believe tha contents of tha bible are all a myth - in your opinion, wha happens to your spirit and soul when you die?

Nasa & The Bible - Creation Is Not A Myth

I found this a very amazing and interesting article and thought I would pass it along.

For all the scientists out there, and for all the students who have a hard time convincing these people regarding the truth of the Bible, here is something that shows God's awesome creation, and that he is still in contrrol.

Did you know that the space program is busy proviing what has been called "myth" in the Bible is true?

Mr. Harold Hill, President of the Curtis Engine Company in Baltimore, Maryland, and a consultant in the space program, relates the following development.

I think one of the most amazing things that God has done for us today happened recently to our astronauts and space scientists at Green Belt, Maryland.

They were checking out where the positions of the sun, moon, and planets would be in 100 years and 1,000 years from now.. We have to know this so we won't send up a satellite and have it bump into something later on in its orbits.

We have to lay out the orbits in terms of the life of the satellite and where the planets will be so the whole thing will not bog down.

They ran the compuer measurement back and forth over the centuries, and it came to a halt. The computer stopped and put up a red signal, which meant that there was something wrong with either the information fed into it or with the results as compared to the standards..

They called in the service department to check it out, and they said, 'What's wrong?" Well, they found there is a day missing in space in elapsed time.

They scratched their heads and tore their hair out-- There was no answer. Finally a Christain man on the team said, 'You know, one time I was in Sunday School, and they talked about the sun standing still.'
While they didn't believe him, they didn't have an answer either, so they said, 'Show us,'

He got a Bible and went to the book of Joshua where they found a pretty ridiculous statement for any one with 'common sense.'

There they found the Lord saying to Joshua, 'Fear them not, I have delivered them into thy hand, there shall not a man of them stand before Thee.'

Joshua was concerned because he was surrounded by the enemy! And if darkness fell, they would overpower them. So Joshua asked the Lord to make the sun stand still! That's right... 'The sun stood still and the moon stayed and lasted not to go down about a whole day!'

(Joshua 10:12-13)

The astronauts and scientists said, There is the missing day! They checked the computers by going back into the time it was writtten and found it was close, but not close enough. The elapsed time that was missing back in Joshua's day was 23 hours and 20 minutes ... not a whole day.

They read the Bible, and there it was about (approximately) a day. These little words in the Bible are important, but they were still in trouble because if you cannot account for 40 minutes, you'll still be in trouble 1000 years from now.

Forty minutes had to be found because it can be multiplied many times over in orbits. As the Christian employee thought about it, he remembered somewhere in the Bible where it said the sun went BACKWARDS.

The scientists told him he was out of his mind, but they got out the Book and read these words in 2 Kings that told of the following story:

Hezekiah, on his death bed, was visited by the prophet Isaiah who told him that he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked for a sign as proof. Isaiah said, "Do you want the sun to go ahead 10 degree?', but let the shadow return backward 10 degrees.' Isaiah spoke to the Lord, and the Lord brought the shadow ten degrees BACKWARD. Ten degrees is exactly 40 minutes!

Twenty-three hours and 20 minutes in Joshua, plus 40 minutes in Second Kings make the missing day in the universe! Isn't it amazing?

No, it is called faith!

There are many things in creation that we do not know! If you will search for the truth whole heartedly you will find the Bible proves itself to be as real as anything else that can be felt or seen. If you do not, you can only make an opinion that has no substance. It is by a faith of your own that you believe that the Bible is a myth.

I did not say that planes were a proof of anything. You are faulty in your thinking! I said there is much we do not know.

Wait...faith--the practice of believing in something with no substance has substance? Run that one by me again?

And Sissy, you're going to try to say you know what happens to someone when they die?

I'm not goin' to try anything.. :> I'm goin' to TELL you that I know wha I believe.. Which is wha this post is about.. You stated your beliefs about why tha bible is a myth.. And wha kinda deal is that to answer a question with a question?.. Is that because you don't know wha you believe? Hmm...
This has been said before.. Many times.. I suppose to get tha point, it's goin' to have to be put in triplicate..
It's all about faith..
Plain and simple.. I know wha I believe that happens when someone dies.. I ask you wha you believe, if you believe that you don't come back to life and all that.. And you answer my question with a question.. Why do I feel like I'm on a ring-around-the-rosie?

You said believing without seeing! I said that is faith.

You need to sort your thoughts better. I don't mean this being smart toward you. But your words are not logical of thought.

Don't bother, he has his beliefs and nothing we say can convince him otherwise. I say we all just stick to our dogmas, try to get along and see in the end who's right after all.
