It's astounding to me that this well intended thread has been hijacked by someone who's plainly obvious agenda is to argue pointlessly ad nauseum .

Amazing...

laugh he does it all the time.

yep...imagine the nerve of someone having a different opinion then everyone else and then has the unmitigated gall to express it in a public forum ...what's the world coming to

I don't think it takes nerve... Or gall...

Posting a reply, no matter how absurd or ridiculous is pretty much an exercise in futility in my opinion, if there's no productive point to be made...

does telling lies ever benefit anybody?i guess what i mean is ,even if you don,t get caught in the lie,are you glad that you lied later.doesn,t every lie come back to haunt you,one way or another.it seems to me that there is a lot more talk about dishonesty on this internet site than in real life.does anyone else notice this.if so,do you think maybe its because people are more likely to admit their dishonesty on here or that maybe its got something to do with the group of people who frequent these sites?

Online or off, being dishonest in a relationship is akin to building a fire in the woodstove because the ac is set too cold...

It only makes sense to a one track mind...

what's ridiculous is those that go around trying to dictate what should or shouldn't be posted by others.....as long as what is being posted falls within the rules of the site then it shouldn't be a problem .....perhaps you have an unconscious desire to be a site moderator

wow..hope that's not the type of response you give to those you are in a relationship with,,,but anyway It doesn't matter to me if your name is Allenaqua or Captain Nemo ....only point I was trying to make is that"Everyone Lies" and that a screen name could be the first step in a set of lies being told and then justified as not being a lie

"Everyone Lies" ......in some shape form or fashion

for example ... is your real name actually "bigojockey"?

or are you lying?
seems to me your very first reply had very little to do with what the so called debate was supposed to be about and really changed the subject, probably to justify in your own mind your past lies.my question is ,do you usually regret your lies later?secondly, are you more likely to admit it on here than in person?

interesting, but a rather narrow view. Screen names often are indicative of personality - or self image, or hobby... you read much poetry?...

Sure people lie, but a screen name as an indicator? really?? slaphead

your original post was about why people lie and do the lies come back to haunt them later....and my reply suggested that in their minds people find ways to justify their lies as not being a lie or dishonest... therefore if a lie can be justify within the mind it therefore can not haunt, it therefore to them is not a lie

also society also promote dishonesty and deception and even deem some dishonesty as being acceptable which is why I brought up screen names in which everyone is trying to blame either their Internet Service or a website for why they choose to lie about their name ..

some other examples of societal based acceptable dishonesy comes in the form of religion or even perhaps when it comes to women wearing Makeup ...is it really how she looks or is it deception and therefore dishonest

my point was that in some shape form or fashion "Everyone lies" ...whether to others or to themselves

when it comes to what a lie is there can only be a narrow view ...either it's the truth...or it's not

This site started out with the ideas of many who were their first members. And their thoughts were to maintain honesty and be REAL...

BUT,,,as it grew,,and grew,,many came and many still pop in and out,,gone never to be seen again..and with THEM,,many LIVE to mis-lead and PLAY on here.

THIS is the Internet,,,its a place where ALL OF US can type out whatever words we want to say about us or them,,and we have the power to LIE or speak honestly,,,ANYTIME WE WANT TO....

THATS THE POWER OF WORDS AND MINDS.....people BELIEVE in something THEY WANT TO HEAR,,,even if its NOT TRUE,,and many fall into romance (IN THOUGHTS)
through the ones who (DO LIE) and then they get crushed hearts,,,
BUT,,,HELLO,,,,THIS AND THESE are typed WORDS,,,as I type these from the oval office right now,as I am their maintentance inspector here...
SEE,,,,ANYONE CAN LIE,,,,THAT EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And ANYONE can BE REAL,,,THAT SAME,,and TRUTHFUL...

It will ALWAYS be up to the integrity of each persons heart, as to lie, or be honest..
To me,,honesty is and has been my whole life,,,and my kids carry that with them as well..
We have ALL told little lies ,,,like calling in sick,,,,or
making MORE of a small issue with the car,,because your drunk friend needed more beer,,lol,But to talk someone into LIKING you as a DATE,,
whats the point,,,They will find out, if you do date them...lol
And to KNOW YOUR PLAYING WITH THEM,,and THAT THEIR REAL WITH THEIR INTENTIONS with YOU,,,,THAT KIND OF PERSON,,,is JUST BAD,,,and a USER..
But I have MET many of them on this site through my time on here..

This was a nice posting,,,Good Luck here,,and just be real,,,lol

Gosh!!! what a narrow minded little man you are...What a disturbing black and white world you live in. No room for any other point of view...whats the point in your so called "debate" there FUNCHES ( ya like thats your real name)when you neither hear nor listen ??? Only a damn fool would put there real name out there on the internet. Thats not "dishonest" thats called being smart in cyberspace. Now, if you wish to conduct yourself online with all the intellect of a monkey...hey knock yourself out! But DO NOT council others in this very dangerous practise. Frankly sir you come across as a talking azz.mad

oh dear really fierce argument about dishonest. i want to add something regarding the screen name. did anyone claim that the screen name is his/her real name? if he/she claims and his/her screen name is not the real name then he/she is dishones. ok for examle my screen name is afriend4you111, my real name is anish khadka. if u say that i am trying to be dishonest in the sense that my real name is other than my screen name then the world will laugh at you. did i ever claim it to be my real name? so shall we stop the argument here and be focused towards the real sence of dishonesty in love??? thank you.

I see where funches is going with his side. I disagree though.

If I say my screen name is yellowrose10, that isn't a lie. It is my screen name. If I say my nick name is Kim, that isn't a lie. It is my nick name (among several)

If I claimed those were my real names, then that would be a lie because they aren't my real name.

do you go around the real world claiming that your birth name is "afriend4you111" or would you consider that to be dishonest...if so then why come on the Internet claiming that it isn't ...seems sort of dishonest don't you think?...what's next...a fake picture of you....oops I meant a screen picture of you

but anyway since you express about focusing on the real sense of dishonesty of Love...there are no rules when it comes to Love ..

love is all an illusion...the term Love is generally used as a way to dignify the unexplainable or irrational things people do ...

when one claim that they feel love....what they feel is most likely either lust or gas
