If you are a hispanic living in Arizona and support this law are you a racist also?The majority of hispanics living in Arizona do support this law. Why won't anybody answer my earlier question? Is getting stopped and searched because of long hair and beard (multiple times) profiling? YES, it is profiling, just not racial. I concur  Again long hair and clothes can be changed. Race is not something that can be changed to stop the difficulties of racists. So, now you're saying that we have to dress and keep cut like the police want us to? That's a form of racial profiling. |

It is what it is. I cannot support racial injustice no matter what. How would you deal with the millions of illegal people that are here and f**king up our country. Not by being racially unjust that is for sure. As to what I think we need to do is secure our borders which should have been done the day after 9/11 in full force. Stop all employers from employing illegals as we determine who to make a citizen and who to deport. |

the question is not what people SHOULD have to do here,, should you have to wear a tie to work,, no, but in certain companies it is the image they PREFER you to have. It is more about what people CAN do.
Clothes, hairstyles and the likes are choices people have, race is not. |

Why should a Hispanic person have to have you talk about them as if they are dirt because you believe they are illegal? Why should a black person be identified as a thief in the store when they have never stole anything in their lives? Etc...and so on. But at least he can make his life easier, the non whites cannot. |

Yes it is racially profiling and we have already determined so a few pages back. It is not the same as the federal law and it is racially unjust. |

Yes it is racially profiling and we have already determined so a few pages back. It is not the same as the federal law and it is racially unjust.  What? Where was it determined it IS racial profiling? Are you talking about what it says in the bill again. I agreed that you were right in the content of the "suspicion of an alien" being in the bill. I did not AGREE that it is considered racial profiling.

Actually not.
This thread is a demonstration of human perception at it's worst and the many attempts to show a larger perception. Not happening by the way. The Arizona law is promoting racial profiling and it should struck down. I can only hope that it will so I can still be proud of the leaps and tiny steps this country has made to racial equality. As we can tell there is much more work to be done. |
