I'm so torn on the gun issue... a part of me says if a law abiding citizen wants a gun they should have a gun. The other side just strait up hates guns... any violence or any of the devices used for violence. My biggest concern is the 'accidents'..kids blowing off their siblings head. I don't understand that part. I grew up with guns, was shooting rabbits and gophers when I was 6 years old. We had loaded guns all over the house. A rifle in every corner and a handgun on every table.. and never touched them. We just had respect for them so I agree on the education part...at the same time I hated killing the easter bunny. Andy, as far as what they do in Switzerland...I wouldn't want to be forced to own a gun anymore than you would want to be forced not to have one. It would unconstitutional to force me. Another one of those issues the country will always be divided on. That's what the Anti-Americans play on. They believe everyone should pay the consequences for a couple of dumbassses who don't secure their firearms and don't teach their kids to respect them. I don't believe everyone should pay for a few dumasses either... How do we separate the non-dunbasses from the dumbasses. It is a concern to me that children shoot their siblings because dumbass parents either don't teach kids or lock up their loaded guns.. |

Now here is something I really love to bring up... Now we all see movies of ET paying us a visit. The 'day the earth stood still' hyper tech is brought to bear on us in a demand for us to become peaceful by use of a super weapon. The all powerful indestructible robot. "Klaatu barada nikto" my friends. The TV series 'V' aliens come pretending to be our friends but instead they are raping the planet's resources and using humans for food. 'Independence day' they just come to stomp us out! ET (BARFORAMA!) a science expedition accidentally leaves one of their own behind and he must 'phone home.' The TV series 'Alf' the alien crash lands on earth and is stuck here. And he is so lucky he never wound up in a group of jars pickled in formaldehyde in Area 51 is beyond me. 'The Blob'. It falls to earth in a meteorite and proceeds to eat everything and grow! 'Flash Gordon' Ming the Merciless is hell bent on destroying the earth for his pleasure and that of his God Dyzan! So many different stories and some of them ET comes in peace BUT what about the ones where ET is not here for peaceful reasons??? Steven Hawkings predicts that if Alien life comes to us it would be like Christopher Columbus and the American Indians. It would not go well for us! If anything we need to constantly improve our weapons technology because should ET come and not want to be friends we had better be ready to put up a fight! Sadly in a situation like that, if we were being invaded by hostile aliens and anyone refused to put up a fight I would feed them to the aliens myself or shoot them in the head! I would hope we were able to make peaceful contact but with the size of space and the possibilities of alien life being more hostile than us I would feel safer having some way of hopefully fighting back! Robert A Heinlein's 'Starship Troopers' anybody? The movies sucked but the 'Roughneck Chronicles' animated series did it justice. Those were some pissed off bugs. |

Dial 911 and call for an ambulance to haul the dead body(ies) out! I also have a lovely little trick involving sunglasses and flipping on the lights blinding them momentarily as I start shooting! I fully believe in Mindfuquing my opponents as much as I can. May as well send them to hell the right way. When they come too in front of the devil they will be so surprised. I love shotguns. They make a hell of a mess though! Then again so does my Machete! |

She really was and also her shooting skills were legendary! many contemporary male shooters today still acquiesce to her mastery! She was not the only marksmen legend among women, she was just good looking putting the bullet to the target! She even shot from horseback!!!  WITH ACCURACY!

What a can of worms! Again to what standards and WHAT exactly would the test look for? By your standards Dragoness NO ONE would be allowed guns except for police officers and soldiers. Even then you would force them to carry pop guns. What would your definition of "sound reason" be? Can you honestly and rationally define what a sane person is to you? Please I must know the answer to this question? I am aware of Ghandi's line, "An eye for an eye leads to a world of blind people." Ghandi lived in a fantasy. Knowing there is a cost (A high one for felonious acts) is called Deterrent Force. Please watch 'Dr. Strangelove or How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb' for a practical explanation of the concept! Humans are naturally violent and naturally prone to violence. Without the threat of harm people will do as they want without regard for others. Why do you think the Middle East is so Fuqued up? How about Mexico and also Africa? The good people living there are overwhelmed by the BAD people living there becasue the BAD people have the where with all to do BAD things to people and they DON'T care! There is no law or higher authority there to save them. How can they deal with it? Put up with it and shut up and be happy to be victims or get a gun and take their homes back! Here in the states we forgot to be "ever vigilant" because we are spoiled and never had to face real Anarchy or invasion. If we made things to your liking we would be open to take over by military force. You really want to leave us open for that under philosophical beliefs? you want to leave us open to criminal activity domestically? Without your vaunted "Mental Exam" we are all Unknowns to you? Is that it? The world is full of unknowns. If you choose to face that with fear you are part of the fear cycle. The rest of us chose not to live in fear of the other guy or ourselves. Fearing guns is just the same thing as fearing leprechauns and spiders. Fear unto itself is irrational! |
