We all define things according to perspective. One of them is violence. The degrees and thresholds are so different in some ways so I have a very interesting question, what is the dividing line between an act of passion and raw violence?

For example, in a fit of absolute hormonally induced sexual desire blood is drawn accidentally from very rough sex be it biting, someone getting tossed the wrong way accidentally, or getting slammed into a wall. Act of passion or act of violence?

Now for the disturbing part of this question (or set of questions designed to engage a tangent of discussion...

You have a couple that when they are not having sex they are having violent shouting matches and also the occasional hurling of objects (including fists) YET they swear they love each other and can't live without one another. (YES this is an extremely dysfunctional and yet extreme example but if you watch Jerry Springer yes they are out there.) Passionate or violent?

In Italy it is still considered a crime of passion for a husband (or wife but the law is majorly tilted in favor of the men) that if your spouse is cheating on you you can shoot them dead.

Sad but true...

Deep question huh?

Not sure what the question is,,actually,,,lol

I think there are violent acts of passion that fall under BOTH categories.

Did you just use Jerry Springer in a factual setting? Sorry, but that show is scripted...has been since it started.

Anyway, violence is for the bedroom and nowhere else. Nothing like a **** ton of pent up sexual frustration being unleashed in a bedroom with only you and your partner.smokin

If anyone walks away with a bruise or bleeding even if it was during fun, that means that someone has hurt and this is not good. At that time is will seem ok but eventually this will grow into a huge problem with one resenting the other. For me, I do not like pain of any kind, if it is suppose to be fun.

Screaming or violent co-dependent relationships are dysfunctional power struggles between two people who think they should have control. Most of these are power struggles that continue to destroy already present bad self-steam.

People are scared and insecure. They need to grow up and be responsible and do something constructive with their lives besides suck the life out of other people.

My two cents. smokin

Accidents happen, but shouldn't on a regular basis.
I have had injuries, so what?
If I didn't enjoy or thought it was deliberate, I NEVER went back.

For those that enjoy rough playing around, what happens between 2 consenting adults, is NO Body elses business.

Simple .

what a bizarre relationship. It's one thing for enjoying 'rough' foreplay. Its a whole nother thing when the entire relationship is based on fighting. Its like thats all they have in common..not good.

I agree. Case in point: The Taming of the Shrew, a play by William Shakespeare.

Hummmmmmmmm now if it was to happen that sex got rough at times but not meaning for it to is one thing. But to only gain sexually pleasure due to it being rough at all times. Well that is more for those that are into S&M ect.....

But...........now for it to carry on into everyday life as far as yelling throwing things and hurting each other. I would suggest some help for them both. Not saying they could not love each other but both have some serious problems.

All I can say is if that is what some deem as love I would hate to see what they did to each other if they hated them...noway noway noway noway
