I am going under the assumption that good job means a job that you really enjoy doing. That's what I would go for even for terrible money. Why be miserable for good money? Eventually you would just stay miserable all the time. But I do believe there is usually a happy medium to most things.

Good job but terrible money (or) Bad job but good money (no you cannot mix and match) Which do you pick? I would much rather make less and do something I enjoy doing. I'm already in that situation. It works to my disadvantage when it comes to dating. |

Id take the good job, with less pay...in the longrun it may actually have better perks to make up for the lack of funds...like having to take a day off on short notice, or not getting chewed out for not being exactly on time every day, etc...
If you arent happy doing what you have to do on a daily basis, its just not worth it, no matter how good the pay... |

#11 on the World's dirtiest jobs list I think I would pick Mechanic:
"Speaking of getting dirt under the fingernails, mechanics never get the credit they deserve. Yeah, they can be a little pushy when they insist your tires are a little worn and you need an entirely new set otherwise your car will fly off the road, but give them a little credit. They climb under your car and get oil in places you would never even dream of just so your kids can get to soccer practice on time and safely." http://www.everydaycareer.com/the-25-dirtiest-jobs-on-planet-earth/ |

I would definitely choose a good job with terrible money. I would rather have a job that I enjoy then one I don't.

bad job good money, for one year,
then invest, and prosper in my own business. leverage others, and get ten times more done, and make more than the good money job, hands down. that's what i did anyway......a no brainer |

Good job but terrible money (or) Bad job but good money (no you cannot mix and match) Which do you pick? Until my kids leave home, I have to take the money. When it is only me to care for, I will pick the good job. |

A person spends more waking time at their job than practically anything else in their lives. So I would choose (chosen) good job over good money.

What works..."for now"......is the antithesis of what I would usually answer

A good job.
Although I do enjoy money , I would rather enjoy what I do with my time. |

I have a great job I love, but terrible money indeed...Such a choice though...Do I leave the people I love in my job for better money or do stay with the people I love in my job and take the crap money...Decision decisions....
