The Tax-cuts given to the wealthy have yet to be reversed, taxes on businesses who outsource our jobs, etc.

There are lots of ways to reduce or counter-balance a budget.

The recession after 8 years of Bush is evidence that trickle down economics doesn't work.

His $1 Trillion tax-cuts reduced the intake to the treasury by, let's see, $1 Trillion dollars.

If those Tax-cuts expire. The Fed will have, let's see, $1 Trillion more to apply towards the budget.

Yet you do not deny they would not want that approach. Dems are big government pure and simple. Some repubs r too, but I don't consider them true republicans.

The Big Brother comment is overreactionary. As is most of what Republicans have said about what Obama is trying to do. If the health care system were working fine, he wouldn't have had to add the drastic measure of offering an OPTION, and it is only and OPTION. One you may have to take if the big insurance companies don't start getting reasonable in their coverage. It's like this: You have a class of school children who are offered the chance to be democratic about the school lunch program. Left do their own doing, most of the food gets hogged by the bullies and the quiet ones go hungry. Even ridiculed. If you believe medicare and medicaid are the humanitarian way to go, the most altruistic, then you believe the social service should be added as well for adding an option, which happily also brings competition to what is essentially a trust, a monopoly system geared for profit, not for saving lives. It's a trust bust, not a big brother deal. Why in the hello would the government want to take care of its people? For profit, for invading our privacy, for conducting science experiments? No, for Justice.

Can you please reiterate the contents of the Cornhusker provision? And give us an update on whether they got what they wanted?

This whole health care thing is blown way over the top. It's almost sickening and tiring to read about it for more than one year now.

Obama's reign started with many promises of cooperation from Republicans.
McCain's speech after defeat was full of those promises.

However,
I have yet to see any cooperation or bi-partisanship coming from the Republican party or McCain.

I'm just about sick of hearing blame put on both parties.
Obama has reached out.
The Dems have reached out. The American people have reached out.

Still, all that comes from the Republican Party is a hand out to lobbyists, obstruction, and delay.

The Bush Admin started with much cooperation, both from the Dems and from the American People.

He finished with the lowest approval rating of any US President in history.
Not because he was treated unfairly or with disrespect, but because he abused the trust of the people, the constitution, and trashed America's reputation around the world.

He earned his approval rating and his party is continuing where he left off.
