Someone in another thread mentioned the term 'red flag'.
I thought it would be cool to share some profile red flags and also a cool way for those who may have an interest in other minglers to catch a glimpse of what NOT TO DO in their profile.

My red flags would be,,

1.the tattoes and piercings thing I already mentioned

2.Males over thirty who speak in slang

3.Males with a majority of pics that are topless or drunk

4.The phrase ' open to anything '

5. Males with screen names that include reference to body parts or sexual acts

and quite naturally

6. Males who mention in their details an aversion to God.

The way I see it people should put in their profiles what they want to anything else would be just pulling someone in to find out all that stuff later.

Be honest & be up front if others do not like you for the way you are or for the way you look either it be the tattoo's ect then you don't need them in your life.

My self I would rather know these things up front that way I can decide at the beginning if those things are a factor or not.

Regardless if it is the way they talk in slang or write it is best to let others see the real side as much as possible then to find out later that every thing within the profile was only a pretty picture that they painted just to pull you in. JMO

6. Males who mention in their details an aversion to God.......we got no problem with each other. He does his thing. I do mine.

That's ok. It is good that people have standards. Otherwise we would hook up with slobs who won't bathe.

Not gonna happen with me. I want my fella to be able to shout it from the rooftops that I am his gal. If he is ashamed of me then he is not worthy of my attention. And yes, I know, it usually means= boom chickey bow wow, on the side of being married. (Thats not going to happen either.)

Why should somebody hide who they really are? Just cause you say it's what"NOT TO DO"? Different strokes for different folks....

my red flags:

1: mentioning a dislike of cats

2: Having a dislike of video games

3: Slang talk (just like msharmony lol)

4: Immature bahavior

5: lack of a sense of humor

Those are the things i will see if there can be a compromise, if not I will move on.

I do agree that maybe it would have been better to say the things that might turn you (in general) off not say what not to do in a profile. It is better to be open and honest from the outset.

Well I think the list of "nos" and "don'ts" and "not's" are a definite turn off. Big bright red flags.

And I have to add, I guess I am glad there are those "red flag" warnings in certain profiles. Makes it easier to skip past things I am not looking for.

I'm not a fan of tats or piercings or body modification in general either but I wouldn't call them a red flag. It's more of a preference. I got a ton of preference. LOL

A big red flags for me is people that have the numbers 69 in their profile name.
