My red flags: 1. Any mention of kids 2. Any mention of alcohol, including pictures of the person holding/drinking/bathing in/talking to any sort of alcohol 3. Empty or vapid profile (this eliminates about 94.6% of everybody anyway) 4. Bad spelling, grammar, and/or apostrophe placement 5. Self-described "laid back and easy going" 6. Pic of two or more people and they never tell you which one the profile belongs to 7. No mention of llamas in the profile 8. Has too long of a "Red Flags" list 9. Cleavage and/or butt pics 10. Self-description is obviously plagiarized from a "Penthouse Forum" magazine from 1978 11. Doesn't like to read books 12. "Looking for marriage" 13. Insufficient amount of eye makeup in pics ....I'll stop now.... Why number 5? Since HR 1458a was enacted into legislation last March and it became mandatory for everyone to use the term "laid back and easy going" in their profiles. Seriously, everybody uses that, to the point it's become as meaningless as "I love my friends and family" or "I like to go out or stay in." If THAT many people are "laid back and easy going," how does anything ever get done? |

"I love my friends and family"..yeah kinda silly there, like it needs to be said, kinda like the.. " My kids are everything"...doh |

I don't have that in mine...so not everyone, understood though.. what is this legislation? Well, Homeland Profile Security should be at the door any minute now. The legislation was designed to help the economy by making it possible -- or mandatory, I suppose -- for everyone to use the same profile on dating sites. The theory is, if people don't have to spend countless hours writing a profile that no one will read anyway, since (according to the House Subcommittee on Dating Site Profiles) no one actually reads profiles, they just look at the pictures, that will give people more time to look for jobs, buy athletic shoes, ride up and down on escalators, and order baking pans from the Home Shopping Network. "I love my friends and family"..yeah kinda silly there, like it needs to be said, kinda like the.. " My kids are everything"...doh A subsequent bill makes it mandatory to use the phrase "and they are MY WORLD" after any mention of having kids. |

Someone in another thread mentioned the term 'red flag'. I thought it would be cool to share some profile red flags and also a cool way for those who may have an interest in other minglers to catch a glimpse of what NOT TO DO in their profile. My red flags would be,, 1.the tattoes and piercings thing I already mentioned 2.Males over thirty who speak in slang 3.Males with a majority of pics that are topless or drunk 4.The phrase ' open to anything ' 5. Males with screen names that include reference to body parts or sexual acts and quite naturally 6. Males who mention in their details an aversion to God. I'm not a fan of tats or piercings or body modification in general either but I wouldn't call them a red flag. It's more of a preference. I got a ton of preference. LOL A big red flags for me is people that have the numbers 69 in their profile name. But what if they're born in 1969? Or they have a '69 Corvette Stingray? I guess I wouldn't like anyone with the #13 in their user name. I've always liked the number 13. It's my favorite number! |

Red flags are red flags to me!

Excuse me, but generalize much?
Quote: 1.the tattoes and piercings thing I already mentioned" Please don't call me a walking talking red flag due to my choices with my own body. I don't disrespect those that don't care for them, to each is own. |

My personal red flags:
1) Too many "I"'s and "Me"'s in the writen profile. 2) A pitch or sales tactic. "I make loads of money, I'm good looking, I have an expensive car" etc. 3) Saying too many things that some men think a woman wants to hear: "I'm sensitive, open, like talking, long walks etc. etc. 4) Speaking of ex's or an ex. 5) Vanity. 6) Perverted mind. I love an sexual man, but not pervs. 7) No photo. Not saying this for all those that don't have a photo posted, but in my experience online, no photo means they aren't secure with their looks and think that I can be won over on charm alone, married, and or cheating on a S.O. P.S. krupa actually I find your legs pic to be rather entertaining. For me at least it show self confidence and humor. Love it sincerely! Cheers |

woo-woo! oh sorry, I get easily distracted. People who post evrything but a pic of themselves drives me nuts but does give insight to their persona. and 'ask me'. nope, you can't be bothered, neither can I. |
