if there is nothing after this life why live it? Why treat others kindly, why do anything to better anything? Going on a life span of say 70 years, that is a short freaking time compared to the thousands of years this world has been. Why would it matter if you did any for of kindness in life if all you did in your life didn't matter after you were gone? Is life not pointless if our memories and everything is lost after a short time of 70 years?

This brings me to the question of where did everything come from then? Yes we have the big bang theory and all. But where did the molecules, cells, and all that come from originally? Where did the planets come from? Where did the material that made up the meteor that hit the earth come from? Where did the sun and galaxy come from? Is it just ironic or just so happens our days are the same length, months, and years all the time? We have seasons and everything works accordingly? And how everything on earth works together to make it run correctly? Where didn't all the material that makes up everything come from? And i meen everything, planets, sun, moons, comets, stars, EVERYTHING.

there's a name for people who have no morals, ethics, or standards.

Forgiveness is not given for the criminal, forgiveness is given for yourself. To walk around with hatred and anger inside of you makes you unhealthy mentally and emotionally and eventually physically.

As for the penalties for crimes, everyone has to pay a consequence for what they do. As long as it is not the death penalty which is barbaric and ignorant. Crimes have to be paid for by the person who does them.

I actually believe that they end up paying for it in their own mind anyway over time, it is just a matter of letting time and life work on them. I have never known any people who hurt others by the way they live that do not end up paying for it even without the law intervening.

Revenge never pays. It makes a person as bad as the original criminal.

Conidering most atheist I know are more "moral" than the religious I have known, I know that religion is not our moral compass.

Religion is not needed for man to know what is right and wrong.

They try to claim to be, but religions are not needed for morality.

believers attempt to use the lake of fire as a way to try to deny that people go to Hell....the lake of fire is just part 2 of God's plan to torture the human race
