ya know...I see in these forums and in life things that are insane sometimes people wants to laugh at Bush-isms (I think they are funny too) but don't anyone dare speak of Obama-isms because then the excuses come out of the wood work instead of just laughing at those too people whine about Fox news but yet they use blatantly biased sources on the other side that seem to be ok as long as it is what they want to hear people talk about the right wingers, republicans, conservatives...whatever doing this and that....when the other side does the exact same thing!!!! but that seems to be ok I see nothing but hypocritical things a lot lately and if it wasn't so sad it would be funny That actually was the point I was trying to make with the movie clip ... and to add a little humor to the sad situation. I'm still waiting for some one to answer my question about who decides what I can listen to and what qualifies them to be that superior Liberal, in modern politics, actually means totalitarian or progressive. My sister is (what I think)is a true liberal. she and I (I'm more conservative myself) both can see that others have the rights to things whether we agree with it or not, as long as it's legal. we both believe in the constitution and upholding that Exactly! Conservatives are for preserving our existing liberties, Liberals feel that more liberties are needed. They agree on making the changes in our existing framework. The progressives seek "change" by "remaking America". It's really a scary proposition. Don't let anyone fool you, silencing dissent will always be on the table while progressives are in charge. You really aught to have a good look at what conservatives want these days. If individuals want to control one part of your lives, individual conservatives want control of the other.. again, generalizations. I personally like change and am not afraid of it, though there are some changes I would not agree with, but that doesn't mean I will get my way either. I accept that. |

Oh, it's absolutely true for most elected Democrats and probably true of many of the "liberals" in these forums. The principles of Liberalism as it was founded are listed below: Human Rights Equality Rule of Law Individual Freedom Private Property Economic Freedom Liberal Democracy Every Leftist policy I can think of violates at least one of those principles. Fairness Doctrine: Individual Freedom, Private Property, Economic Freedom Abortion: Human rights, Equality, Rule of Law Higher Taxes: Private Property, Economic Freedom Health Care Reform: Equality, Rule of Law, Individual Freedom, Private Property, Economic Freedom Cap and Trade: Individual Freedom, Private Property, Economic Freedom. Let me break down one example: Abortion. Abortion law ignores the fact that there is a debate in the scientific community over if a fetus is a human or not. Until the debate is settled, it is a potential violation of human rights, equality and Rule of Law to allow or perform abortions. If we aren't sure that a fetus is a human, then we must err on the side of caution or we lose our humanity as a nation. For us to be so blase about potential murder actually makes us guilty of murder. To summarize: If a fetus is a human, then it's human rights and right to equality and the Rule of Law trump a woman's Individual freedom to not be pregnant. Liberal progressives founded this nation, with the goal of making a country that could change by simply changing the laws, while having the freedoms of the people securely protected by the constitution. Progressives of today want to remove freedoms or deny freedoms to certain people. If you don't believe me, compare the Democrat's party platform to the principles of Liberalism. Sure, there are Republican progressives. Lots of them in fact. The laws against sodomy and alcohol are examples of conservative progressives. Those are laws of the past, hopefully to remain in the dustbin of history. Today, the greatest threat is from leftist progressives. |

Fox is truly disgraceful. They made up a fake story about muslims in pakistan raping a 13 year old girl just because she was a christian...yet posted the girl's name and picture in which she was wearing a head scarf. when i emailed them and called them out on it, the story mysteriously vanished off the site.
