@ Kim flowerforyou

On the other hand, I think most people watch Fox News or any news for entertainment purposes. That's what I do. I don't necessarily believe they are right.

Actually the Jon Stewart show makes more sense to me than the big news networks and that's supposed to be pure entertainment only.

pfft...I watch Jerry Springer...doesn't mean I think it's real though laugh

Say it ain't so!tears tears
Jerry Springer was my last hope of real reality TV!!surprised

I agree with Atlantis though....in America there is freedom of speech. if someone doesn't like something...don't listen. easy enough. people will be brainwashed on both sides

Then you must agree that it's a good idea to let the "Hate America" preaching Mullahs and Imams spread their hate talk and jihad in an uninhibited fashion in their sermons. Maybe they should even have their own network to spread hate on American TV?

Why is Al Jazeera TV banned in the USA? Hmmmmmmm

Canadians have the right idea....ban the hate talk and lies on TV.

No, but Fox News might have stupid stuff, but definetly not "hate tv". Neither MSNBC.

And it doesn't matter what the tv says anyway. It's not their fault if the individuals get brainwashed by it. It's everyone's right to decide what they believe or not believe. If some gets brainwashed one way, the other other way, it's their damn fault not being smart enough to differentiate between BS and reality.

And while it's said that there is no Al-Jazeera, I wouldn't object it to have it. And I read their news site, they are fairly balanced actually, why don't you go read it and notice there is no jihad talk on it. See? you just proven that you are not making even thinking on your own and you believe what they have told you.

here look, they look normal to me, no Jihad stuff

http://english.aljazeera.net/

Well while were at it, how about lets allow some new TV channels:

Neo-Nazi Network
KKK Today
Anarchist Cookbook

deluxe...as long as laws aren't broken...they have a right to speak as well. just because some don't like it doesn't mean they don't have rights. I don't like the hate either but as long as laws aren't broken they have rights

Wow, I didn't know that Canada did that. News should never have hate talk and lies, IMO. That's not news reporting.

You're right....FOX News is not much different than Jerry Springer. laugh

Sadly, some people take every word from Fox News as the truth. I feel that a news station should act responsibly and do their best to tell the truth otherwise it's just not news. It's propaganda.

I don't know. Kind of scary to think Fox should be banned because one group of people think it has the wrong political slant. I found MSN's Olbermann annoying but had no desire to ban MSN. BTW, there are websites devoted to his lies. Our political atmosphere is scary lately. So many people want to control what we hear and how we think. Why fear?

Wire 'em all to a lie detector and a hot-wire.
If they lie or stretch the truth, they get enough of a zap to show us they speakin' BS.
That'd be pretty cool watching themk jerk to the shocks.

Same for Politicians except raise the Amps!laugh

yes but my point is so is MSN along with the other media sources out there like I named earlier. there are biased sites on all sides but can't claim one side and say the other side can't do the same...can we?

Having a bias is different then not telling the truth, IMO.

winx..IMO MSN is the mirror image of Fox. they are the same just report opposite points. it seems to be ok for one side to post as long as it's favorable to their thinking but the other side is lies. I see it all the same...just on different sides of the coin

the thing is that these groups like moveon.org surround themselves with leftist socialist radicals and they can't imagine that there is enough people in the world who actually disagree with em

they look down on the middle americans as bible thumping gun toting ignoramuses who NEED the leftists (I no longer call em liberals) to enlighten and guide them

that is where the elitist tag comes in. they just can't imagine that there are tens of millions who see them as antithetical to every thing they think america should be

they don't grasp that there is a reason FOX is the number one cable news network in every timeslot. Its because millions of people agree with FOX's slant. Or if not agree many of them, moderates, dont have the instant knee jerk hatred of anything not leftist socialist and at least are willing to listen

I would love to meet the person or people that are arrogant enough to tell me I'm not intelligent enough to form my own opinions or that thinks they know better than me what I can watch, hear or read. I am fully capable of making the decisions without people banning things just because they don't like what is said. I am fully capable of not listening to the things I don't like as well. I certainly don't need someone telling me what I am capable of handling.

I would like to know what would qualify the people in charge of deciding these things to.

implore you! Send a message to the FTC to help MoveOn PAC battle fox news' truly insane claim that they report in a "fair and balanced" fashion. It's easy to do and your message will be delivered to a number of political leaders inculing the FTC and your local representitives.

THANK you!

http://civic.moveon.org/fox//

Did anybody read the complaint that they want to file with the FTC?

Did anybody see the O'Reilly Factor clip on there?laugh

The media that got Hussein elected told more qualified opponents to shut up without actually saying it.
They refused to give them equal time.

I spent quite a bit of time in Canada this summer....it was nice to find that FOX was banned up there.

Canadians are very smart! Eh! drinker
Rupert Murdoch is from Australia we used to have laws in this country that prohibited foreign ownership of the public airwaves. The right palms were greased and viola Ruport Murdoch can now own american airwaves.
