I believe in a Creative Force that created us from itself using itself. I believe that's how we got the "created in His own image". Not because we literally look like this force, but because our true selves, our spirit bodies, are a part of the Creative Force. We now have the same creative force within us and we are here to do just that....create. The Creative Force which we call God, is neither male nor female. It has both male and female aspects. We cannot truly conceive of what God is so we take different aspects of God and humanize them so we can relate to God. When I call God/dess by a name, it is just my way of trying to connect with something that I can't really grasp with my finite mind. And how can anything create itself by itself then ?. For something to be created it needs something to start from . How can ZERO of a thing create anything at all ?.  .

 Jeanniebean---"One True God" is sexless. There were many "gods" once but "One True God" betrayed the others and offered eternal salvation to humankind. The "OneTrueGod" is a jealous god. He/She want no other gods before "him". And he/she is on the side of humanity. I have to disagree with you on that. Sexless? No, not at all. The universe is full of sex and procreation and expansion. Its all about growth. If there is a "God" (however you describe It) it certainly is NOT sexless. Probably has both sexes in one, as they say the angels do. If God is sexless, and 'he' created man in 'his' image, then man would be sexless. |

Some hard questions about God and Heaven. I just want people to look at the reality of some of the things people are saying about God. If you are going to humanize the "God" concept and claim that God is a male humanoid supreme being who "created" the world --- then I have a few questions related to that and I wonder if you have thought about them. If God is a male humanoid (certainly not a human) does he have male organs? If so, what does he use them for? Does he go to the bathroom with them, or have sex with them? If not why have them? If he does not have them, why call God a HE or a male? Next: Okay if God does use his organs to go to to the bathroom, are there toilets in heaven? If there are toilets in heaven are there plumbers and plumbing? If God uses his sex organs for sex, who does he have sex with. Is there a Mrs God or does he just go around looking for virgins to impregnate all over the universe? Now I don't mean this to be disrespectful really, these questions come up in my mind when I hear people call God "He." and claim that he is a male. I seem to recall that God is known to be a he because the hebrew word Yahweh is masculine. (I can't answer your other questions at all, sorry) |

I don't know for sure where I heard this but I thought it was cute, despite what Westerners think, jesus is not blue-eyed blonde from California! How would you know? Do you have some inside information about who Jesus was and what he looked like? I doubt it. |

Do you have some inside information about who Jesus was and what he looked like? I doubt it. It is well known that Jesus was a Middle Eastern Jew from Palestine . He became a Christians and lost his life in a very violent way . As a mere person he could not save his own skin . I think anyone who thinks Jesus is God or the son of God is living in delusion ...... . |

I have read this entire post . WOW! everyone most certainly have different views about who God is and what He is.
 My answer is, I really dont think we can narrowly say He is just man or just woman. He created all, and He Is in all, and He Is All. Period. He is neither just man or just woman , He Is. That's all. He just Is. He is Omnipotent,Omniscient,and Omnipresence. He has no limit . we cannot place limitations on Him. He gives us some of Him to keep us coming back, seeking, searching, trying to understand Him and connect with Him. This is what He Loves  . He is Great. Enormous. There truly is none like Him. Now or Ever. We could never know Him completely in all of our lifetimes combined, because He is infinite. He Is the Begininning and the End. The First and the Last. We cannot comprehend all of His being. He just Is. He is the Greatest Mystery Ever. If He werent then He would not be the Almighty God! . . Blessings Suhnshine

Well sunshine thank you. Of course your post answers none of my questions, it only poses more questions. And of course I've heard all of those descriptions before. Its not that I don't agree with them.
If what you say is true, then I am part of God too. But you stated that "He created all." Okay... HOW did HE do that? What's more, how can you state that He did that? How do you know? |

Its a spiritual understanding that you lack and no HUMAN being can give that to you. A blind man cannot read a book without braile. You cannot make him see. You have been given enough food for a feast and yet you cannot digest a small meal. No one can give you the enlightenment that you seek. It is not a gift that you can receive from man. It is a divine understanding that comes from God Himself. Your Pursuit is in Vain. You are asking the wrong ones for an answer to this question they cannot provide you. And you dont see that. This is why you feel your question has not been answered. When actually it has been answered more than once. Please do not take my comment in a negative tone. I say this respectfully. You need understanding from the one your questioning. If i have a problem with you, or a question about you, I will ask you, and not joe the plumber. I am asking a certain kind of person to question what they have been taught to believe about the term "GOD" so that they can find their own personal enlightenment. I ask them to not speak of "God" (to me) unless they can define that term. You still speak of "God" as if you are not God. You still speak of "God" as if HE created YOU. You speak of "God" as if you were separate from God, and yet you claim that God is all, Omnipotent,Omniscient,and Omnipresence. This means that you ARE God. So for me to "ask God" would simply mean for me to "ask myself." The questions I ask are for those people who separate themselves from that which is. They are for the people who would claim that God is a supreme being, a male, who created man after his own image, and then wrote a book (The Bible) which they claim is "HIS word." Question that. But my questions are posed ONLY for those who would have me believe that I am separate from God and would preach to me that their concept of God is true. (The ones that state that God is a supreme being who created the world and created man in his image.) I simply ask that if I accept this premise as true, then I have a few more practical and logical questions. You are blowing everything out of proportion and you do not understand the point at all so just give up trying to figure me out or analyze me and how much I can see or not see or how enlightened I am. Many people have rationalize that "Creating Man in the image of God" means spiritual or mental image, or anything other than what it really says.
Image. An image is a form. It is the appearance of form. Man was created in a form after the form of this God. Therefore simply stated, God looks like a human or humanoid being of some kind. Its very simple. This God has a human form. Therefore, my questions follow on this premise. If God has a humanoid form....... then... (Read the opening post.) So if you stick to this premise then I am interested. Being Omnipotent,Omniscient,and Omnipresence is not possible if you are in the form of a humanoid. It can't be both unless you want to say that God is a shape shifter that can appear in any form he, she or it wants. And if this is so, then if God created man in his image what image or form are you referring to? How much time does God spend in the form of a humanoid? Is that his true form or not? You see, God cannot both be in the form of a humanoid and also be Omnipotent,Omniscient,and Omnipresence. Unless God is all. Unless God is everything, everywhere, and all powerful. Then if that is so, then WE ARE GOD! |

Yes, I have seen many answers but sorry, they are all just opinions. Which is what I actually expected. Because no one is God yet.....!. How can we know about something that might or might not exist ?. Opinions are enough to keep us guessing . If "God" is Omnipotent,Omniscient,and Omnipresence, then that certainly does include everyone. This means that yes, we are God.
