I doubt it is truly possible to insult a god.
How can you even make that statement when you have not clearly defined God? How would you know? Ultimately unknowable. Infinite and eternal to the extent that they choose to be. The human mind can concieve of infinity but we cannot perceive infinity. We are finite beings.

I think if there is a God then this God must have created this universe and then he did not give a damn about the way it keeps on going because look....there are so many things that are wrong with this world . Does he really bother to look after more than 6 billions of peole at one second of time plus all the animals......etc ?. I already said.....IF ....remmeber...!.

God if he/she/it exists is not an entity of flesh like we. If God exists it is not like we portray it (all religions). If God is then he didn't create human in is image but gave us the spark that human needed to start asking question, think, it gave us the ability to ask the Why Where How etc and left us to develop in what we are today. A god of supreme power does not need what we as human think it does (Adoration, prayers, sacrifices ect) those are human emotions and we used our own understanding of what Higher power humans need and that why humans created religions. Nothing to do with what God desires but what humans think it desires. Well spoken. The God that is in us is our spirit. All religions (which are all man made) have a higher being with various names, different drawings/paintings of what people perceive he (it is common to use the male pronoun when unsure of a persons/beings sex) might look like. The personal relationship you have with "mother father god" is what is important. Most religions are fear-based, getting the members to follow rules. My faith and belief is in a Mother/Father/God that is all loving. The opposite of fear is love. |

JB your question has been answered in so many ways on this post.You dont see, because your eyes of understanding are covered.
Its a spiritual understanding that you lack and no HUMAN being can give that to you. A blind man cannot read a book without braile. You cannot make him see.
You have been given enough food for a feast and yet you cannot digest a small meal.
No one can give you the enlightenment that you seek.
It is not a gift that you can receive from man.
It is a divine understanding that comes from God Himself.
Your Pursuit is in Vain.
You are asking the wrong ones for an answer to this question they cannot provide you. And you dont see that. This is why you feel your question has not been answered. When actually it has been answered more than once.
Please do not take my comment in a negative tone. I say this respectfully. You need understanding from the one your questioning. If i have a problem with you, or a question about you, I will ask you, and not joe the plumber.
Redirect your question, to the One your question is about. Why He would answer you, just as much as anyone else would answer you had you questioned them.
And in fact He has ansered you!
You either cannot recieve it, dont receive it and will not accept it.
But you have been answered!

I think you misinterpret me completely. I do not seek enlightenment. I am asking a certain kind of person to question what they have been taught to believe about the term "GOD" so that they can find their own personal enlightenment. I ask them to not speak of "God" (to me) unless they can define that term. You still speak of "God" as if you are not God. You still speak of "God" as if HE created YOU. You speak of "God" as if you were separate from God, and yet you claim that God is all, Omnipotent,Omniscient,and Omnipresence. This means that you ARE God. So for me to "ask God" would simply mean for me to "ask myself." The questions I ask are for those people who separate themselves from that which is. They are for the people who would claim that God is a supreme being, a male, who created man after his own image, and then wrote a book (The Bible) which they claim is "HIS word." Question that. I question that. I am just asking these people to question that. That is all. You are God.

Exactly. That's exactly my point. Ask. What if what you have been told is NOT true? What if what you have been told IS TRUE? Either way, you should ask questions until you get some answers you can comprehend and understand. Even if a person does have faith, they should understand what or who they are placing their faith in. |

I think a whole lot of a person's belief system has to do with what they were raised with. It is instilled in you from a very early age. If your parents took you to a church that believed when you die you become a butterfly and the wings are made from God's hair then "by God" that's what you will always believe. Even if you discover some other faith when you grow up, I believe that somewhere in you will still be the butterfly concept. I went to the funeral of a friend of mine who was gay and Catholic. The church was full of gay people also Catholic and known partying hell-raisers. When it was time for kneeling, Lord's Prayer etc it came automatically to all present. We ARE influenced by your child hood upbringing. I was in a strict catholic religious family. But I let go of all that indoctrination when I read the history of religion. As for the catholic church being full of gays, that's a very strange remark. There are no more gays in that church than any other church except that maybe one doesn't hide it while others make it so uncomfortable for gays to be out that no one knows but family members and friends who is gay in other churches. Sounds like you have a problem with the catholic religion.. funny, so do I, but because it's just as messed up as every other christian church. |
