Maybe if the US put all the money from weapon control in mental disorder and treatment, there would not be the need for the GUN CONTROL!!

yes you should still control your gun well enough to hit your target

I was going to pandora and listen to some music before i start my day but keep comming back here--- ONE man in a couple of hundred million??? and the media acts like he's the rep of all us gun owners---For or against--something stinks. OH--I just got a new SIG SAUER 40 yesterday, think i'll go shoot some water-mellons today---everyone have a great day---

One?

"About a dozen people carrying guns, including one with a military-style rifle, milled among protesters outside the convention center where President Barack Obama was giving a speech Monday — the latest incident in which protesters have openly displayed firearms near the president."

"Last week, during Obama's health care town hall in Portsmouth, N.H., a man carrying a sign reading "It is time to water the tree of liberty" stood outside with a pistol strapped to his leg."

Exactly Winx.

Guys like the joker at the Obama event are Anarchists and want revolution. When they use the phrase "Water the Tree of Liberty", they are talking about revolution and spilling blood.

It's only a matter of time before one of these idiots gets out of control and starts something.

I am a firm believer in 2nd amendment rights but I always cringe when I hear of a shooting at a school or and idiot pulling a stunt like this.

I didn't know that "Water the Tree of Liberty" meant revolution and spilling blood.

mmmmmmm kool aid

I agree with winxie that, for the protection of the Prez, they shouldn't allow armed people near him

and at the same time the people were outside the building and the Prez was inside the building

and I can understand how the east coast/west coast journalists would freak out that Arizona would not only allow people to own guns but even carry them around

Why, thank you, Quiet. lol

Yes, the President was inside the building. But...he does have to leave it eventually. Just sayin.

well if that happens one of the law biding carriers will end it real quick

LOL

Never happens but is always talked about. Noone will save him. Most of the gun toters are the right wing lunatic fringe anyway and they will have none of Obama.

That is why I cannot be a supporter of the 2nd ammendment as interpreted by the gun enthusiasts. Too many innocents get killed supposedly by the "good intentions" of the gun owners.

Its the person behind the gun.....I prefer the old west way of things. Innocents get killed all around the world everyday, if it wasn't a gun it would be a knife, club, rope or something else. Guns are not the problem. People are the problem.

Of course, it's the people that are the problem. That's why people with guns shouldn't be near a President.

This topics always reminds of this joke:

One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book.

Along comes a game warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, "Good morning Ma'am. What are you doing?"

"Reading a book," she replies, (thinking, "Isn't that obvious?")

"You're in a restricted fishing area," he informs her.

"I'm sorry officer, but I'm not fishing, I'm reading."

"Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up."

"If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault," says the woman.

"But I haven't even touched you," says the game warden.

"That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment."

"Have a nice day ma'am," and he left.

I don't buy the guns are not the problem argument anymore. If there were no guns, no crazy person would have one to use. You have a far better chance of defending yourself against a knife, a club a rope.

Dont buy the whole if there were no guns laugh

Realistically we all know there are guns.It is legal to bear arms. People can kill, maim, hurt others with guns, pens, paperclips, words, anything can and is used as a weapon.

maybe the prez should be kept in a 3" thick Plexiglas box

then no one could hurt them unless he lets them in his box

that would work

and the people could still have their freedoms

flowerforyou Hmmm, how many people could I mow down with a rock, or a pen or a paperclip compared to a gun in a crowd. If there was no such thing as a gun, I can't see how too many people could be harmed, unless everyone had a crude weapon. That's all I meant by guns are a problem along with some of the people that carry them.

Ok missy, put up your dukes! I'm pms, packing a bad attitude and a paperclip. You feeling lucky today? I am so sure I would be a dangerous threat in a crowd.. LMAO
