Nope, I was 12. Probably playing outside. Although I do remember when Lennon was killed, and when Reagan and the Pope were shot, which were all shortly later.

Yep, I remember...my b-day is on the 14th & my Sweet 16 party was held on the 16th...I think we took about 30 seconds of silence...then cranked up the Alice Cooper...

Kind of sad that his passing to drugs really didn't change much in how celebrities can acquire drugs or drug use in general.

Sad that some people can delude themselves to think they are invinceable.

How much do we play into that belief by excuseing inapproriate behavior in celebrities.

I was 18 and we spent the day gettin drunk and jammin to Jailhouse Rock, and Houndog and all his rockin songs

then again when I was 18 EVERYTHING was a excuse to get drunk

Was working in a corner store and the first thing i saw at 5 am bringing the papers in was the news on the first page, for the rest of the day I heard so many different comments as people coming in saw the front page.

yeah i remember it, i was 10.

it was my girlfriend's birthday and we were at her place for a party.

her mother was so upset by it, she sent us all home. laugh

Definitely remember....was visiting my grandma and watching Gilligan's Island when the news broke in. I cried that night as I was falling asleep.

Wow tell ya how old I'm I have one of those small newspapers of the day of his death. Along with a coin that was made shortly after wards it is about the size of a silver dollar still in the plastic covering it came in. Hummmmwhoa
