Here's the plan: the next guy that presents himself to me will have to undergo a series of questions put to him by my friends on Mingle. You know, things like "Would you say a woman is most like a (a)best friend to be taken care of gently and respectfully (b)a watermelon in a cardboard box (c) snow tires. You guys should be able to narrow things down for me. Love it! We're here to help!  and DUH! is not an answer..  furniture has not arrived yet, was hoping by this weekend, now they say, Monday or Tuesday..so..we will see..then I will spill all the beans..today, a birthday party with my grandson,he's 5. |

Hi. I am new here, but not new to dating sites. It seems that when men respond to women, or vice versa, they communicate frequently. Then after they meet, even if the woman is not dating material, the men never communicate with them again. Are people afraid to be friends, or what? I think friendship is the most important thing in building a relationship. Friendships are built on trust, after all.

Hi Katz! From years of watching my sons play sports, I know, that is where a lot of single men in our community go. Especially football and basketball games. I think its a great place cause there's no slcohol involved and it's easy to start a conversation-just ask them to explain a play. Men love to teach us about sports. Try it!!!
Also its not just the men with kids but the men whose kids have graduated but still follow the teams! |

just new to this 50 and over ....I drive truck for a living both in canada and the usa .. pretty hard to meet people while running down the road I thought the opposite would be true. True, for that you'd have to be in the opposite lane... but still. |

It's not going to be pretty, but you seem to want to know. Men don't develop friendships easily. With men. With women. If a man or a woman is not friendship material for a man, the man sees it a waste of time to try and work on it as if it were possible to cheat his own nature. That said, men can have women friends. It's just that those women have to mesh with that man as a man would who could also be a friend for the original man. But, like I said, that is not easy to do. And if it's not easy to do, men abandon the project rather in a hurry. |

Now I have to explain this. I never like to eat out alone in restaurant,but I ran a lot of errands this Am,and was starving so I sucked it up and went into this little diner by myself..it was packed and I was the only woman ! Viv said all those men and no date,and I told her they were all to busy eating,picking their nose ,burping and scratching their butts to notice me!
