I thought I mentioned my family is from the Gladwin, West Branch area. My Uncle moved up close to you. I didn't really grow up there My dad was a air force so we lived in quite a few places. My mom went back to Michigan when he died I go up often to see her.

I've not had a lot of luck here oin mingle. On other sites yes ..But I have never tried posting any thing to find friends. So here goes. Is there any thing to this posting?

Mingle is a great place to make friends. Now when it comes to dating I am not real good at that. I think it is because I am on the "friends" list. Now if I could figure out how to be a romantic interest instead of always the friend I might get a date.

I'll nudge you but also email, I kinda like the nudges if that isn't all that I hear from the person. Since I work, mow my grass, clean, shop, do laundry etc etc like all of us must do, I don't always have time for chatty emails and an occasional nudge lets the person know I am thinking of them.

As I said in another post, I find Mingle to be a great site for the people who are here, a great place to make friends. Not so great for finding dates...I rarely see anyone who is close in proximity, I want to date in person (silly me)

I get emails from men just because they saw my pics...they aren't on the forums for the most part so I have no clue who they are or anything about them, go figure that most of their profiles are full of "no answer" and no pics.

Does anyone else here get hit on with alluring lines like "how much money do you have" "do you want to have sex with me, I wanna do you" (or variations on the theme) I know I can't be the only getting this garbage, feel like slamming those guys HARD but I just ignore them, report them or tell them to go away. It isn't just here either, I get it from men I just meet at the mailbox or somewhere....creepy!
