Context is an interesting thing. Let's say that a person says, "he is too picky." Now, to me when an utterence like that occur, one must look into how it can be used to express very different propositions, depending upon the circumstances in which they are used. For example: 1. He is picky - Meaning he is shallow 2. He is picky - Being meticulous in detail 3. He is picky - Knows what he wants 4. etc... Most of the time, when it's directed towards me, it's clear that the implication is #1 -- "shallow." Many of them will even use that term (or "superficial"). For whatever reason, a lot of people have a sort of knee-jerk, offended reaction when I indicate that I'm really not interested in certain types of people. Of course, the ones who choose to be offended are always the ones who fall into those types, as if I had created my standards and preferences solely for the purpose of demeaning them personally. |

Whether one calls it being picky or selective either way it is what will make us happy in the end and someone we want to be with. Sorry I have no desire to wake up to a night mare so if they do not appeal to me and have a sense of humor and can carry a conversation beyond hello. Then I don't see it going anywhere myself.
Is it not better to seek those that we feel comfortable with and enjoy being around then just another person to have as company? |

Is it not better to seek those that we feel comfortable with and enjoy being around then just another person to have as company? That's always been my thought as well. Having attempted the "I'll hang out with her rather than be alone too much" scenarios in the past, and having grown very bored very quickly, I eventually figured out that it was better to be alone than to be with someone wholly incompatible. |

Did the dude have a good body figure? I don't know, not that it ever happen to me; but if a chick answer the door naked and have a great body, I can be certain that I will not have a problem with that.
