Is it unreasonable to feel that, when dating someone, you should be the only one they date until they feel that it's just not gonna work and decide not to date you anymore??

if both parties agree i suppose its ok.. but i think its rather selfish to have expectations of exclusivity immediately.

Is it selfish to want to have a fair chance without the other perhaps thinking " Well this guy does this, but this one is cool in his own way " while spending time with one or the other???

The women I have spoken with almost always say they want a man's undivided attention when they date.

Can a man not want the same thing?

I exclude sex from dating.. everyone is unique, there is no competition. Im confident if im the best for someone and its right.. they will choose me, and vice versa. Everyone is not for everyone, as a matter of fact, MOST arent for us.

When someones out with me, I do have theyre attention, and they have mine. I think its a little highh school to be possessive when you dont even know someone.

It to me is like "friend envy" you cant be friends with this person or that person if your friends with me."

We all should have a fair chance, and thats why I believe in dating, and dating more than one. Lifes short, it should be understood everyone I come in contact is not me material, and vice versa. Also, typicly, it doesnt take that long to figure out if one person is for you or not. This lessons a harem effect.. you cant just stick around and use people either.

And.. you probably shouldnt make out with everyone you meet for lunch, dinner, or coffee as a rule of thumb.

I think unfair would be bringing more than one on a like super date to see whos best.. but dating in my belief is a total grey area, a time to get to know someone and everyoine should be entitled.

I never look at ANYONE as a potential mate until I know ALOT about them. There are steps, for me it doesnt go date.. marriage...

I dont think we should live relationships in "dog years" thats just totally setting yourself up for disapointment. (1 week equals 4) whatever..

After one has sex with someone.. Totally different ballgame. People have fully involved themselves, because no matter how people try to deny it, your body houses your emotions, your spiritual self, your innerself, all of which present when you do the deed.

From a moral standpoint.. I believe this should constitute commitement, ad a show of respect. Also safer.

Thoughts of self respect come to mind here.

Everyone involved should ultimately KNOW that they are not exclusive, and that others are being seen, that your dating other people.

You cant force something thats not right, no matter how hard you try.

You just cant go around trying to control people. And noone should be forced to make an uneducated decision to commit to someone or something.

I was never able to date more than one guy at a time, nor did I ever want to.

If I'm dating someone, it means that there is some sort of spark. Since that would exist, looking elsewhere just wasn't possible since my entire focus would be on that particular guy, and the spark between us.

I guess, though, I never thought of dating as casual, but rather more of a relationship, at least in the beginning stages.
