Regarding the OP...

For one to claim that it is only the gays who push sex education is to be mis-diagnosing the situation at hand. More than anything, it is the drive to lessen teen pregnancies...

Sex ed should be taught by the parents when it concerns sexual orientation aspects. The knowledge of std's should be taught at the puberty level and again before graduation. The information should not include morality issues.

I personally feel it is not helpful in any way regarding the healthy development of grade-school aged children to impose a subject matter that they are not capable of comprehending anyway!

This is a clear cut case of how we have relaxed too many standards in our education. F**kn liberals always trying to shove rainbows in our faces! Stupid jerks have no idea that in itself breeds resentment and loathing! it is unfair to eh homosexual community who tries to live in peace with us vs. the ones trying to indoctrinate everyone to their worldly views.

Then again one of Obama's advisers is a KNOWN pedophile and advocate of Pedophilia.

Soooooooooo now what?

and that is where the gay community loses. They allow it to be turned into a right versus left issue and the whole thing gets hijacked away from their ultimate goal

I said it before and I'll say it again. The gay community is screwin it up.

When they should be charming and persuasive and convincing, they are being resentful and militant and confrontational. Things like gay marriage will never change until a majority of Americans support that change. and instead of persuading the moderates amd middle of the roaders they are alienating and scaring them

====================================================
A man was being tailgated by a stressed out woman on a busy boulevard. Suddenly, the light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection.

The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup.

As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up.

He took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a holding cell. After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.

He said, 'I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of you, and cussing a blue streak at him.' I noticed the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk; naturally...I assumed you had stolen the car.'

This is what so many politicians and so called christians act like. Wanna be do-gooders with big mouths and big action, heart excluded.

Considering the schools deal with kids from all socio backgrounds the teachers need to address these issues, at least to some extent. I don't know how far they should go but to be sure they should always say there is nothing wrong with all types of households. Kids are already prone to be bullied in school so teachers need to keep any bias out of the classroom if they can. The kids already get enough prejudice at home if their parents are.

This school was not even allowing the parents the right to take their children out of these programs.Sounds like brainwashing and prison to me.Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves over this one.

From what I read somewhere, some of the founding fathers liked indulging too. You know men of the world back then were exposed to alot of different things.

Why would the parent want to make a spectical and pull the child out of the program? Just take the child home and explain his version to the child. Kids are smarter than people give them credit for most of the time.

Cause Parents are tooo lazy to teach their kids at home! Means they might have to work a little.

true dancer...but that shouldn't mean the school should have to parents all (or even any for that manner.) I think it's sad that some parents don't parent, but I do and there are good parents out there that have a right to decide for their kids

Oh I agree they have the right to, but there's also the need to get basic information out there, and some parents want to stick their head in the ground and ignore it.

I had a senior in college come up to me as I was a freshman, asking me for info because her parents had NEVER told her. I was appalled when she asked if saran wrap would work as a condom, and sat down and had a basic chat with info about everything. My parents made sure we knew, so there would be no excuse. Generally, I knew more then the sex ed classes, though we both always sat through them to keep the info up-to-date.

If parents did their jobs, there'd be no need for schools to have to teach it.

I personally have no problem with them teaching and my son learning as much as possible (and I teach him as well) but i can see the other side where people don't feel it's the school's duty. it is sad that the schools, government, etc feel the need to step in when others don't care to raise their own kids. but there are some that don't want it for many other reasons as well. again I have always encouaged my son to learn as much as possible before forming any opinion....but i think i'm a dying breed these days

this is my issue with Obama as part of this argument...

"HOPE, CHANGE, BLA, BLA, BLA..."

The reality of it?

SMOKESCREEN SMOKESCREEN SMOKESCREEN! AND THE SAME SHI* GOING ON AS THE PAST ADMINISTRATION!

Wouldn't it be funny if Obama got caught with his fingers in some young intern (boy's) cookie jar?

That would make Monica Lewinsky's scandal seem pale in comparison now wouldn't it?

The fact is he is contributing to the damage that radical groups are causing by giving a serious minority fringe group a voice.

Worst is the erosions caused by Congress itself where lots of them are caught in questionable acts and sex scandals and other BS. I sure ain't voting these clowns in so who is?

1gay
Pronunciation: \ˈgā\
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French gai, of Germanic origin; akin to Old High German gāhi quick, sudden
Date: 14th century
1 a: happily excited : merry <in a gay mood> b: keenly alive and exuberant : having or inducing high spirits <a bird's gay spring song>
2 a: bright, lively <gay sunny meadows> b: brilliant in color

I don't see how they adopted the term Gay.
Many of 'em come across as sourpusses or dlcktaters.laugh laugh

Because some gays appeared as very friendly, exceptionally sweet persons to men when interested, and to women as not targeting. Our ancestor would say, "he is so.. gay", meaning that the person talked about appears to be happy, friendly, sunny. Eventually it's just started to mean the real thing. To be "gay" started to mean to be aroused around men and chatty around women.

Redykeulous...not sure why you addressed me when you quoted fanta....BUT...I know about history and I know there are Christians that are against that....I never said there wasn't. I wasn't talking about how it all got started...I'm talking about present day. there are Christians that have no problem with it as well. there are other religions and athiest that don't agree with same sex marriage either.

I know for fact, that Jewish religion also prohibits it as well as Muslim.

Don't know about Buddhist or Hindu, but I have haven't heard of a gay Buddhist or Hindu marriage.

Not that it matters to me really..do whatever....whatever floats their boat..

I personally have no problem with it. like i said earlier....my wiccan friend doesn't agree with it because it throws off the balance. my point was blaming one group for everything gets old when it's not the case

Sorry YellowRose about mistaking the original quote. But, while you are correct that many poeple don't agree with marriage and many non-Christians don't agree with (same-sex) marriage, they are a hand-ful compared to the power in numbers and finances of the Christian faction. If Christians, in this country did not voice an opposing view of same-sex marriage - it would be legal today. They get the blame because they are the major opposing force.

laugh no problem hun. I almost missed your comment to me because it wasn't my quote used lol

I agree that they play a big part in it. my problem is generalizing ALL in that. I personally don't think it's anyone's business as long as they are consenting adults....and human (sorry willing...you can't marry your goat laugh )

it's just one of the many things in this world I don't get and go crazy trying to understand....so I don't try any more. I'm only accountable for me
