I have a female 2nd cousin. She looked butch since she was very young. She dressed like a boy. Her hair was like a boy. Her sister was the opposite. She was girly and played with dolls. The other sister would not play with girl toys. I was naive and didn't know why. She eventually told me that she was gay. Looking back I can see that she was born that way.

How old was she when this look started?

Before 5 years old.

At 5 yrs old a human doesn't even exhibit sexual behavior or feelings.
Ive known many girls growing up who preferred male activities. We called them TOM BOYS.

She looked like a boy early and never quit. She wasn't a tomboy. She just didn't play with dolls. She didn't do sports either.

Maybe she just couldn't get a boyfriend and turned to women for sexual relief???
At 5 yrs old she had no idea about sexual feelings!

She's gay, Fanta. She's only been with women. It was obvious from the get go.

That's generally what happens if you cant get a man!
Maybe y'all said it enough that she began to believe it!
There could be a million environmental influences. One thing for sure. There is no scientific proof people are born gay, and when asked only about 10% make that claim!

Homosexuality (bisexual) is more prevalent in women than men anyway!

ya i got a paper that I signed in order for my daughter to get sex education at school..

and yes i signed it ans she attended. and NO they didnt talk about homosexuality at all.

thats fine, your right its the parents choice.

but this is a very sex motivated society that we live in. clthes. tv. radio. friends. let alone natural hormones. I choose to have any informed child rather than a misinformed or uninformed child

That depends on the definition of what is informed, and what is disinformed, and what is uninformed.

Myself?
Id tell the truth!

Homosexuality is unnatural and its a personal choice!

Let's keep our personal opinions about values out of public schools.

homosexuality is completely natural and is most often NOT personal choice.

homosexuality occurs in nature. there are animals that mate with in same-sex pairs for life. therefore, homosexuality IS natural.

they have shown that the brain of a gay male is different in structure than the brain of a hetero one. this shows that, at least in men, it's NOT just a "choice". it's how they were "naturally" made.

that said, i'm not sure what the big fuss is...there's a big difference between a school going into sexual details about a same-sex couple and just letting the kids know that some children have "two mommies".

Wrong!

There is no evidence that homosexuality is natural.

While the GLBT has paid for research that makes that claim, no one else has ever been able to duplicate their conclusion.

Also, Interviews with Homosexuals have shown that less than 10% even make the claim the born that way.
Most agree they chose the lifestyle and the majority of those state they were first introduced to the lifestyle by older adults while they themselves were children!

BS!! Get some facts. Even if there were absolute evidence, Fanta, I highly doubt you would accept it anyway.

Fact!

What are you arguing about?

You dont claim to be born Gay!
Ive heard you say so!

Well you should be able to answer that question, but ... well maybe you can't since you see things from only one perspective.

Do I sense personal attacks coming from you?

Cause if you are going to stoop to that level I'll go.

I know who will be singled out in that situation!

I get in trouble just for stating a factual opinion!

um fanta how do you explain me being gay? I can get women I just am not interested in women? I never had a bad relationship with them, I was never treated badly by them and yet I still have 0 desire to be with one. As I have already stated NO ONE can tell if someone is born gay or not. It will not show until the person has grown and matured. Generally there are little hints but the big one won't come until puberty.

My hints came in how I acted, my mther raised me to be straight. I tried to be straight, I dated women pretending to have an interest just to make everyone else happy. I have ALWAYS had an attraction to guys right from puberty.

If you prefer to live in your happy little world, where everything is perfect, be my guest but I will live in reality. Some choose to be gay some just are gay. In my experience the only ones that choose to be gay are the ones that are just looking for sex, for me I'm looking to settle down with one guy.

For the record I did not choose to be gay cuz if I had I wouldn't have struggled so hard to hide it. All I have left for family is my mom and my sisters the rest disowned me. Mostly due to the fact that i do not believe in god but some due to me being gay.

Also I have seen no facts that say being gay is a choice, it is also not a mental disorder. These were coined due to people inability to accept it and trying to explain it. I am a gay man that wants nothing more than to live my life and hopefully find a guy to live it with.

Saying there is scientific proof of people being born to Homesexuality just aint so!

Well I never said that but frankly the fact that we 'exist' is proof enough for me. And we have always existed, but some folks just love being superior. No skin off my nose, my life has been great, despite never having met people that had such a difficult time with it.

Some of those people mentioned in your list of studies aren't exactly unbiased. Frankly I just don't care anymore, the new generations will do far more than ours was able to do..

I've read where you said you werent born that way before.
So what are you talking about now!

So homosexuals exist, so do lots of other lifestyles.

Some people are racist all their life. Does that mean they were born that way? NO!

Some people chose to do drugs. Were they born that way? NO

Some beat women their whole lifes, or their children suffer neglect or molestation at home.
Were these people born that way? NO!

I mean I can move away from these mountains, I have many times, and yet long for them from my soul. Does that mean I was born like that? NO, I was born in Fla.

I really dont care if someone choose to be gay, or if the environment they grew up in made them gay!
It's their choice, I just wished they would quit with the false claims of scientific evidence and quit trying to shove their choice on the rest of us!

Well now you said it yourself. Lots of lifestyles exist, as does homosexuality, Period, that is good enough for me. So wer'e comparing gays to men beating up women? Drug use? Child neglect? Racism?

Now where have I heard that before.

And I wish that some on the other side of this issue wouldn't shove their comparisons and personal assumptions on the rest of 'us'.

Oh and by the way this whole topic 'IS PERSONAL' when you or anyone assumes to know us so well when you have no real knowledge.

I bet if the shoe were on the other foot and gay was the norm and we were giving you the same rethoric for centuries, you'd find it pretty personal too.

If what I have said here gets me booted, frankly it just might be a good thing. Listening to people tell me who I am and what I am and mostly from Straight individuals gets pretty raw after a while, so a good booting might just do me good, I can go back to living my life never having to hear some of the things people say about gays.

I have many cousins, brothers, and sisters.

One of my girl cousins used to play ball, war games, football, etc with us all the time.
If you had suggested that she go and play with a doll instead she would whoop you. Mean I tell you!

Today she is a Mother of 6 and happily married.
She would still rather go hunting or fishing than go shopping, but she's not gay!

Sometimes we joke that her husband is though! LOL
He's not, but he acts more feminine than her! laugh laugh laugh

Funny what makes the world go around. There's a woman here that does all the male sports, so does her sister. They have a female cousin that also loves sports and male activities. One is straight, one is gay and the other bisexual.

I have a couple in Maimi, he is flaming.. but he's straight, everyone assumes he is gay by is actions, but he's straight and married, and isn't affected by what people say.. great guy.

It's not being a tomboy that assures one will be gay, it's being attracted to women. Though I would say that if a young girl would prefer she was a boy and many do, then I would say she has something in common with you, Fanta. She wants to be with women.

I was always a tomboy, but loved being a girl, and a woman, never felt I wanted to be a boy even when dressed casually and more like a boy than a frilly girl. Just too much diversity out there for us to just ignore any of it.

Here's one for you thomas...I am incapable of loving someone of the opposite gender in that way. I was born gay, I have never felt that way about a woman, not once in my entire life. I have loved women just was never in love with them. I can talk to women all the time and not get one ounce of interest in them. Most women are just friends to me, the ones that aren't are my family.

I can promise you that I as well as many of the gay men I know will live past 43. This includes the men I know that are 50+. More than likely if a gay person does not live past 43 it's due to an outside influence.

I was not your typical little boy growing up, I preferred to play with the girls, I couldn't stand sports (at least till high school and then I only participated cuz some of the guys in my class were HOT!!!), I played house willingly, my little pony, care bears, cabbage patch kids.....sound like a normal little boy? I did have my x-men comics and my transformers but for he most part I played with things that girls normally played with.

I had a wondeful friendship with Lindyy, we didn't agree on everything but we had a healthy respect for each other. I miss her somedays lol.

Now while this may not hold true for all cases, I was born this way. For many years my parents tried to get me interested in the things other boys did only times i ever was, was soccer and video games. I hate to burst your bubble but some people are, in fact, born that way. The ones that choose it should be slapped silly because it's not a lifestyle I would have chosen yet I am dealing with it.

My mother accepts me for who I am as does the rest of the family as far as most other people are concerned i could care less what they think about it. I have made some wonderful friends on this site, including some christian people that accept me as I am. they also accept that i do not buy into the whole god thing. I was born to be...me...and that is all i can be whether people like it or not.

(The ones that choose it should be slapped silly because it's not a lifestyle I would have chosen yet I am dealing with it.)

This line confuses me. What is wrong with people that choose it? If gays want to be accepted they can't very well exclude people that make a conscious choice can they? I mean if you are saying there is nothing wrong with being gay, then choosing it shouldn't be a problem.

The RIGHTEOUS among us might just have brainwashed you after all with the notion that one can't be born gay it's a choice and there for should be avoided. flowerforyou

I am not 'dealing' with being gay. I am gay, and I am no one's victim or anyones punching bag. I am gay and i am happy to be gay, there's no pain involved as with 'dealing' with it.

Did I get you wrong? If I did I apologize but that really weirded me out.. LOL

You just cant accept facts.
Haven't Ive heard you say many times that you werent born gay?
Should I look the posts up?

Look them up, actually that would be very helpful in fact, I get really tired of repeating myself.

Ummm when you can prove that gays are NOT born gay, Fanta, I will give you more credit but not until then. Because I believe that I chose it in my circumstance, doesn't mean that most gays are 'not' Born gay. Do I know for a fact one way or the other, nope, nor do you.

I will even go as far as saying that it could very well be that I was gay and just did not realize it until the time came to experience it.

So be my guest go ahead and pull my old posts, because I said this same thing back then, a few times.

Another favorite line from the 50's and 60's, if a women can't get a man she goes gay... lmao.. kinda like that old tired penis envy line.

so I guess If I couldn't get a women now, I would have to go straight? Funny stuff!

Oh wow, Homosexuality is more prevelent in women that in men? rofl
