WTF!!!

And so many call equal rights 'special'... noway

Why give 'special' plates to anyone? If this is acceptable then so is a religious symbol from any other religion...

The state of Florida is full of old people who will die soon, just like their imposing of religion in the public realm.

It is a private thing.

Florida has more than 100 specialty plates, with several new ones proposed this year.

so what's another one??? no one is forcing them to buy them. if I read the article correctly, the money will go to charities

There should be no government sponsored display of religion specific material.

I strongly disagree. At least 80% of this country is Christians. If you must insist on pretending as if we don't exist or have any influence in politics or government you are very wrong. As a matter of fact nothing would get passed unless the Christians approved of it.You liberals can say what you want.We have the majority,we vote on issues, and if that bothers you then thats too bad. When the liberals and Atheist have 51% of the make up in this country you can run this country any way you want.Until then either move or stop complaining!

I can't wait until I get mine.I hope I get stuck in a long traffic jam and a liberal Aethist has to look at my license plate for miles and miles.

laugh

It seems to me the harder the liberals and Aethist try to take Christianity out of the government the more they are getting put back in.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

That's too funny, wishing yourself into a traffic jam when most would wish to get to their destination. If I was behind you, I would be reading a book I bring with me for just such occasions. Specialty plates are just an extension of the ego behind the wheel, who cares except those on the same trip. Your way too paranoid.

That would be like others saying I can't wait for my atheist plate so I can sit in traffic and piss off Christians. Who does that? Few I would imagine, that have a life anyway. Very strange. I can just see you sitting there looking around to see who was viewing your plate.. That's just too funny, thanks for the early morning giggle.

it is not govt sponsored

it is available at an extra cost

if you want specialty plate for something and can show enough demad for it you will get it as well

it is no different than getting an ohio state plate in ohio not everyone in ohio is an ohio state fan

the part that everyone seems to forget is *****(nor prohibit the exercise there of)*****

****excerpt from 1st amendment referring to religion****

it is a way to earn money and the state is making a profit off of the plate just as they do with any specialty plate

and they need the money

so make your specialty plate design and circulate a petition to have it become available

that is how it works

after all if they sell 30,000 specialty plates and make 20$ each 600k$ is a good lil boost to the budget

You're talking to me? I'm a Christian. That doesn't mean that I have the right to tell someone of a different religion what to do.
I'm for equality - not majority.

maybe there has not been enough interest shown in other religions yet

after all it is about the money

if you have thousands of muslims request a specialty plate then they will be available

the fact is christianity is the largest organized religion at this point

it is only logical it would be the first to come forth with such a thing

as with the ohio state plate in ohio many ohio state fans enough to make it profitable ---- i have not seen an akron university plate [and i went to one of their campuses](must not be enough to make it profitable yet)

I see your logic, but I think if the government stayed clear of this it would be best. As the government is making money off of the tags, they in fact are sponsoring it and promoting it (jmo) -

Keep in mind that most people do enjoy the snowball effect.
