Come on. Tell me how its related? Is the state saying, Hey, this is your plate. If you dont like it you can pay extra and get a different plate? No! Its the other way. They are saying if you want "this specialty Plate" you have to pay extra! I did tell you how it's related, either offer for all or none. I find it offensive - does that matter? others find it offensive? Some don't give a hoot? Whom shall we please??? Shouldn't people be watching the road, instead of looking at someones license plate? if they want to make specialty plates of Jesus they really should make plates honoring other religions. I'm sure someone out there might find a religious plate honoring Jesus offensive, I do not, but someone else might. For me I have a gamebot advance or nintendo ds to play, so I don't have to look at the plates if I do not wish to. I agree with that. I have no problem with Muslim plates or Hindu plates even Atheist plates if someone is offended by another's display of their religion on a licenses plate that is kinda just too bad. I can deal with that.. NEXT? |

I think that the Jesus license plates look tacky. But...I am one of those people that don't like dice hanging from my rear view mirror.

Seperation of Church and State is mentioned no where in the Constitution. It was just an idea mentioned by Jefferson after he was President I am well aware where the language concerning the separation of church and state came from... Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Where is it written that only the state of Florida has the ability to produce these plates? It is surely written somewhere... If that is not going against the above, tell how it is not! |
