So, tell me Jenniebean, has "The Law Of Attraction" worked for you with tangible results?

(I have flipped through the book from time to time, but I don't really get it....)

Yes many times. I have quite a number of blogs about it. I'm working on something real big right now.

I have seen it at work in my life a lot with small things. Most of my stories are called "coincidence" by skeptics. I have seen people use the techniques who had never heard the term "law of attraction."

These people used their "mind" to get what they needed in a similar way that the process of visualization and intent works.

To give you an example of this one guy, he did not work at a normal job. He acquired money through many different means, all legal. He worked as a private adviser and investigator, he played poker, he played liars poker and other things. His life was feast or famine as any self employed person or gambler lives. Here is how he would get money when he needed it.

First he would take a pencil and paper and write down all his bills and expenses that needed to be paid and come up with a sum of money that he had to get. Then he added some on to that, enough that would allow him to breath easy. Then he focused on that amount and set out to acquire it by circulating. He did not expect that the money would appear on the table in front of him.

So he would go out and circulate and talk to friends and clients and he would find a way to get the money and he always succeeded in doing so by this method.

You might say that this is just a guy working for a living and that it is not the law of attraction at work but I beg to differ. This is exactly how the law of attraction works.

In fact, Wallace D. Wattles instructs that you must circulate and move around with your intentions and you will be drawn to the right places and people who can give you what you need and want. This is exactly what happed to him all the time.

One night he simply said, "I am going out to find some money." That was his exact affirmation word for word. Imagine how astonished he was when he was walking down the sidewalk in front of one of his favorite taverns and there on the sidewalk in three very neatly stacked piles, was some money.

He thought it was a trick or a joke.

He looked around suspiciously to see if anyone was watching or filming him. He saw nothing. So he picked up the money cautiously and put it in his pocket. He went into the bar and sat down, still waiting for someone to come up and spring their joke on him. Nothing.

Then he went into the men's room and counted the money. There was about four hundred dollars.

Well people loose money and find money, that's not unusual. What I thought was interesting was his declaration about going out and finding money ... then that is exactly what he did.

No. I am working on this level right now. This is where you can practice manifesting safely. If I think of a tiger it does not immediately appear out of nowhere at this density level. At a higher density level it might.

It takes a lot more work to manifest a thing here and bring it into this reality or into your experience. If it did not, people would be creating monsters left and right and every negative thought would create that negative thing. So be thankful it is not so easy here.

The key is to practice here. Then when you get good at it... you are ready for the higher frequency planes.

Which book would you be referring to? There are hundreds of books about it.

Yes it works. And it always works all the time for everyone whether they realize it or not. If you look around you, you will see what you have attracted.

(The law of Attractions is not the only law at work.)

The specific book I was referring to is "The Law of Attraction" by Esther and Jerry Hicks.

Its a fact that the human brain is a pattern recognizing device, The only problem with it is that it finds hits, and ignores misses.

There semms to be an irresolvable contradiction here:
Even though the thread is titled "Science and Philosophy", it is much more about the latter (Philosophy) than the former (Science).

*** Yet, billy attempts to insist otherwise...
***********************************************
So, all of you ingnorant people should just shut up and through your laughable ideas to the garbage -- BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT SCIENTIFICALLY VERIFYABLE! ! ! There are many other threads where your unsientific ideas would be welcomed!..

*** Though, I'm surprised WHY WOULD OTHER REALLY SCIENTIFIC PEOPLE -- compared with whom billy would pale like a high school kid -- have enough DIGNITY to not get involved? ? ? * * *

---> Sure seems like billy doesn't get enough respect in his chosen field if he finds it necessary correcting and degrading everybody!!!

Oh but the ARE scientifically verifiable. Not in the way he demands though. And frankly nobody cares what he demands.

And this is a science and philosophy forum so anything goes here. We are allowed to stretch the mind a little beyond the stale and flawed ideas and assumptions of the scientific community.

A flawed assumption right there itself. Don't propose to dismiss a whole community so easily and sound wise. No less a community that has brought so much to the table.

Something I have said sure has ruffled these feathers.

If something manifests it can be studied. Much research, real science that is just done sloppily is thrown away by the very authors who worked so hard on it for the same reasons that make any attempt at gaining knowledge fruitless . . . . lack of rigor in the methods.

There are many charlatans out there and even more sheep, it seems the only things that fear the light are those that seek the dark to obscure motives, or hide uncertainty.

If every so called pyschic and mind reader, or speaker to the dead, or dowser would allow themselves to be tested then it would at least be clear they really believed there own abilities, sadly its very few who has such . . . confidence? Delusion?

I love this website.

It seems a lot of people feel threatened by skeptics, and lash out just like HANDLEWITHCAUTION

Matter is energy, and Einstein's Theory of Relativity equation says so.

E=MC2 means energy (E) equals matter (M) multiplied by the speed of light (C) squared (or times itself).

I remember learning this in school, and also learning that this theory was solid enough to be the basis for the development of the atomic bomb.

In fact, I remember a teacher in high school explaining the theory, and concluding, "matter is just materialized energy."
matter is not energy. Matter is matter. Energy is energy. Now matter has a certain amount of rest energy, but its not just energy, its more then energy hence more then E=M. I cant believe this doesn't make sense.

hmmmm...wonder where the white coats were when neanderthal man, and indigenous cultures globally, discovered pumpkins, (or some other edible plant) growing merrily on their own, out of dinosaur poo, and later, out of bison poo, antelope poo, wallaby poo...and every other native critter poo, globally??????

I love how the white coats grab what has always been known, wrap it up in wordy guff, and decide they found it.....laugh

"It seems a lot of people feel threatened by skeptics,"

You are wrong on that idea. Skeptics are disturbed by what they can't explain. So they settle on the most ridiculous assumptions.

How can a true skeptic think that two guys with sticks on ropes, (or anyone with sticks on ropes for that matter) is going around creating highly complicated geometrical designs in fields in the dead of night, in the rain, and sometimes in places that no one even sees? (crop circles)

Instead of them saying that this is a mystery that needs to be solved or investigated, they satisfy themselves with the idea that people with ropes and sticks are doing it just because a couple of people tried it once or twice. That is not science and it is not even good investigation.

There are a lot of assumptions in science that were once a theory of sorts and have been around for so long they are assumed to be facts.

The gap between science and spirituality is being connected by some scientists. Others, prefer to poo poo anything new in favor of what has been held true for so long it is apparently written in stone in their minds.

In order to advance scientists need to explore the mysteries instead of spending their time debunking them with ridiculous explanations that can't possibly be true like who is making crop circles. Do you think they really did a good investigation into each and every crop circle or did they just say... "Oh those drunk Irish men or that crop circle making cult is up to their mischief again, ha ha ha."

Solve the real mysteries or at least attempt to. Don't just sit there asking other people to prove their discoveries to you according to your requirements. That's what real scientists do.
No offense, I know you are a good skeptic, but I don't see you finding answers or even speculating. What is so wrong with exploring possibilities where science has no pat answer?

IBYP, sonny-smartass, but a skeptical pathetic 3rd year student doesn't represent a threat to a scientist with a B.Sc. in Computer Science!!! Though, I'm not trying to belittle your scientific background... However, like I said, *** OTHER TRULLY SCIENTIFIC MEN in here ("_X_") -- compared with whom you would pale like a *HIGH SCHOOL KID* -- have enough DIGNITY to not get involved and argue with the "unsophisticated-ignorant" people ("_Y_") who, at times, may stumbble upon something which scientists turn into Discoveries... (Are you aware of the fact that Sir Isaac Newton's gardener first pointed the great scientist's attention to the apples falling down from the trees..?) You aren't?!! ***HOW IGNORANT OF YOU!!!***

*** It is beneath _X_'s dignity shutting _Y_ up just because they have a different background!
* * * *THE MOST YOU CAN DO IS OFFER YOUR POINT OF VIEW...* * * * * * * *
********************************************************************
***>>> BUT HOW DARE YOU -- MISERABLE STUDENT -- MAKE FUN OF ANYBODY? ? ?
********************************************************************
---> Sure seems like YOU don't get enough respect in YOUR chosen field if YOU find it necessary correcting and degrading anybody!!!
********************************************************************

P.S.
The difference between the wise adult Men and Pompous YOUNG Fools is the latter tend to affirm themselves only in comparison with "_Y_" !!!

And if you persist in the same manner, I'm gonna invite a couple of academics (_X_) who will put you in disgrace! ! ! * * * * *
