oh yeah!!!small bag of somethin else????????thats no good...weed is one thing.harder drugs are for the not so smart ones.they can take away every thing youve worked for.it is my experience that people who do hard drugs usually dont work though.they spend there life lookin for thier next fix.not me i work hard and enjoy my toys.see.....most people who do hard drugs dont have toys...laugh

Regardless of the fact that weed is grown, not manufactured, it is still in the same category as meth, crack, etc because there is no valid medical use for it.

No medical use for it? Then please tell me what medications like Perks, codeine and even Demerol are for?

Percodan (Percocet), Codeine (Lortabs, Lorcet, etc) and Demerol are all for pain and are all legal to own with a prescription from a doctor. They are manufactured by valid pharmaceutical companies and prescribed by physicians. Marjuana is not.

NO Federal law makes any weed legal even though a few states have decriminalized it. The reason weed is on the same SCHEDULE as meth, coke, crack, heroin, etc is because it is not manufactured by a pharmaceutical company and has no medical use.

I dont really understand your question. I wasn't talking about pharmaceuticals. Only weed and the others NOT prescribed by doctors. If you find an MD prescribing crack, methamphetamine, rtc....post it. And I'll call bu11s4it.

I guess someone should tell him that drugs are illegal and he'll get in trouble if he is caught with them.

Really?!?! Wow I can see why you call yourself a genius.

I wish I could've told my Mother that when she was in the last stages of her cancer... She was prescribed Marinol, which is a derivative of weed...gives you the munchies without the high. I would've rather been able to buy her a bag of weed...at least she would've died with a smile on her face...ohwell

Medical Marijuana Program

The Medical Marijuana Program (MMP) was established to provide a voluntary medical marijuana identification card issuance and registry program for qualified patients and their caregivers. The web-based registry system allows law enforcement and the public authorization to possess, grow, transport and/or use Medical Marijuana in California. To facilitate the verification of authorized cardholders, the verification database is available on the internet at www.calmmp.ca.gov.

---------------------------

endment 20, approved by Colorado voters in November 2000, authorizes the use of marijuana to alleviate certain debilitating medical conditions: cancer, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS positive, cachexia; severe pain; severe nausea; seizures, including those that are characteristic of epilepsy; or persistent muscle spasms, including those that are characteristic of multiple sclerosis. In addition, patients and physicians may submit petitions to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to include other medical conditions that may be alleviated by the medical use of marijuana. Amendment 20 authorizes a patient or a primary caregiver who has been issued a Medical Marijuana Registry identification card to possess no more than two ounces of a usable form of marijuana and not more than six marijuana plants, with three or fewer being mature, flowering plants that are producing a usable form of marijuana.

States Approving Medical Marijuana

A number of states have legalized the use of marijuana for medical purposes, or are considering doing so. Seriously ill or dying patients are allowed to use it, with the approval of their doctor, to ease their pain or curb nausea.

* California and Arizona gave the go-ahead for its use in 1996.
* Since the, voters in Alaska, Oregon and Washington have also approved its use.
* Similar laws are pending of have been proposed in Colorado, Maine, Nevada and the District of Columbia.
* Since selling or giving away marijuana remains a crime under both state and federal law, patients have few options other than growing it themselves.

Nah, I wouldn't call you a b!tch. So you won't express any pity. That's not what I'm looking for. Just some advice, opinions or information from others who might have some experience or insight in the situation. Hell, I appreciate the bids of good luck.

Yep, that was the first phone call I made after getting out. Speaking of that, phone taps are still inadmissible in court, right?

I have a motorcycle in my living room?!?! Damn I miss my bike despite it damn near killing me about a year ago. I was extremely lucky to survive that crash. Hopefully that luck will continue through this case.

Something isnt necessarily wrong just because the law says so.

Would you also have had no pity for a homosexual going to prison for buggery when it was illegal?

I'll be full of pity if he goes to jail for it.

All states are different.

CA. you would just get a slap IF the scale was really a postal scale.

If it sounds like more than a slap see if they have drug diversion.
They will be able to tell you when you see the PD

If law enforcement has a warrant to do a phone tap, then they are perfectly admissable in court. Also know that cell phone conversations don't require a warrant in some states. Cell phone conversations and/or text messages can be easily picked up on scanners designed for that purpose and are readily available to the public. Best advice I can give, Know the laws of the state in which you reside and simply don't break them. Because ignorance of the law is no excuse in a court of law. Every state has their statues readily available on the internet.

It used to be. At least in my country. My point is, you should make up your own mind on whether something is morally wrong or not, rather than following what the law says.

i do make up my own mind on moral issues....but i also dont break the law b/c i dont want to end up in a situation like our OP. im not going to break the law b/c i dont agree with it. a defense like that will never hold up in court. lol that is why i dont get high or keep illegal firearms in my home. its all about choices. hopefully after this situation pans out, he will stay out of trouble with the law.
