Some goofy mother****** wearing anything obama, shows up at my door, he or she will be greeted with the middle finger up on one hand and my Benelli 12 Gauge in the other.

and *that* attitude, among so many other things, is exactly why the republicans got ROFLSTOMPED ;)

Folks have not realised yet that mean spirited 'anything' doesn't win you anything but more of the same. Actually comparing this to Hitler isn't all that constructive either, is it?

I see where this is headed and I think it's time for me to just butt out. waving

it's not any different than someone that doesn't support obama going door to door. the supporters would be annoyed as well.

to be hostile to the person is not needed....just a no thank you.

“I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic, and we should stand up and say, “WE ARE AMERICANS AND WE HAVE A RIGHT TO DEBATE AND DISAGREE WITH ANY ADMINISTRATION!”

Hillary Clinton

"to be hostile to the person is not needed....just a no thank you."

If someone walks onto my property uninvited, I can be as hostile as I choose.

I don't support any war, unless we are attacked, and Congress declares it. Im not going to go on someones property with a piece of paper asking them to profess their loyalty to anything.

Ok rose. How about if I walk to the door with my .45 holstered on my hip. Is that more appropriate?

They are organized and canvassing door to door and in crowded shopping center parking lots.
My concern;
Going door to door, if you sign it,they have your name, phone number and address.
If you, the dissenter, tell them, no thank you, they have your address.

Everyone is aware, if you ain't for him, you're agin' him. Obviously, if you refuse them, you're against Obama.

What repercussions will befall those who say no? They know where you live.

This is so absurd, the strange thing is that many will provide their personal information.

I won't sign it because first they want your information, then they want your email address then they want to ask you to volunteer. It reminds me of a cult recruiting members for the all mighty guru Obama.

I just don't like giving out my personal information.

The reason they are doing it is because Obama is going to do a lot of things against the status quo and he wants to show the "people in Washington" that he has the support of the people. In other words, he wants to overthrow the status quo and gain more power than he currently has as president.

Not true at all.

Obama wanted all Americans to pledge to do some kind of volunteer work for the country if they were able. If you don't sign up so what. Only those who are really interested in making this country a better place need apply.

Dragoness,

What do you mean "not true at all?" I got that information strait from their training video. Did you watch it?

I think everyone is interested in making this country a better place. Are you implying that if you are not loyal to Obama that you aren't interested in making this country a better place? That's just not true. Some of us are just not so sure about Obama, that's all.

now we have to sign up to do volunteer work with the government???? i help out at homeless shelters on my own. i don't need to sign up for that. I volunteer and have for a long time with siging up with the government and I have contributed to the people of the country on my own.

I thought this was to talk about Obama's 3 main topics...not sign up for volunteer work

Not a have to, just wanting Americans to take on some of the "social" work that is needed as a responsibility if they are able. He said that if Americans would volunteer the cost of all of these social programs would go down. And Americans will feel more involved in their country.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I have volunteered before and it is very satisfying.

I'll tell you what is 'wrong' with it. People need jobs. The 'community' and the 'government' takes income taxes, sales tax, road tax, cigarette tax etc. from its working population and then they ask them to 'volunteer' for community work?

Give me a break, it smacks of free labor and slavery. If the government needs help with its programs then give people jobs, don't ask them to work for nothing.
